hi all,
i have weird questions... can i hide the download link from the frontend?
I mean i love the com_ but the preview have all i want already... and there is also download button there! so then I would not need to add the pdf to 2 places on backend...

Hi, there is no parameter for this, but you can hide it directly in the code or if you are using your layout design, then you will not add teh download button to this layout.
to edit the file:
components/com_phocadownload/views/category/tmpl/default_files.php

there is no default_files.php however i looked for the default.php but could not find away to disable it.... am i looking at a wrong file? thanks.

Hi, you should upgrade to latest version.
in some old version, the info is stored in default.php - you can find the part for download buttons there.

im on the latest version (for joomla 1.5) that is 1.3.9
