Phoca Download Menu Access Level Problem With Joomla! 1.5.15

Post by Christopher Barbas »

Good day

I have a great problem.
First of all I have installed the "com_phocadownload_v1.3.9.zip". at Joomla! 1.5.15 Stable.

The problem is with the "Phoca Download » Sections" menu item It is always visible at webpage front, even if the "Access Level" is "Registered" or "Special" is always visible for everyone which means to "Guests" too.

Probably there is a conflict with something because I have test it at a Wampserver clean installation and there was not a problem at all.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi, did you set the rights for the menu link or in section parameters.

Anyway sections or menu link only prevent from displaying the site, but protect the files can be done only by category persmissions.

Good day

Yes I have but thats has nothing to do with the problem I have.
I think that the section parameters are not controlling the front end menu visibility, from Joomla, am I right?

I have to tell that in a clean installation at wampserver everything works fine.

There is a bug here in my opinion, there a conflict with probably with another component maybe!

Thanks

Hi, parameters are taken from the current Itemid, if you will disable SEF then you will see current itemid (id of menu link) where then you will detect the used parameters.
