Hi I've spent a lot of frustrating time trying to figure this out and almost giving up and look for another component but before I do I hope someone here can help.
I'm using Joomla v1.64. Phoca Download 2.01.
All I need is several users to see and download files that are assigned to them. What I done is the following:
1) Create each user in Joomla admin user manager.
2) Create a group for each user and assign each user to their own group.
3) Create a category for each user in PD. Access=Registered. Access Rights=Their own username. Upload=Nobody
4) Created their file with their own Category and uploaded file. Access=Registered. Display inaccessible file=Yes
I only managed to get the first user that I created to work. All other users created after that, I get this error..
It is quite a simple thing but I'm baffled.. Why is this happening?
You have no rights to access this category..

Hi, try to set that all other groups will be handled as registered, in parameters, see the parameter:
Access Level - Registered Users
in General folder of Phoca Download Options

I am seeing the same issue. This all used to work and I think the upgraded to Joomla 1.7 might have broken this.
Public access works fine . its just registered user access.
I'm also seeing a similar isuse with Phoco Gallery ...
