Can't upload any new pictures

Post by melle35 »

Hey everyone,

I'm quiete new to "Phoca Download", because my colleague who's the webmaster of our site got sick - so I have to try to update our site and I got a big problem. It would be great if someone could help me.

So, on our homepage I'd like to offer new pictures to download. In "Phoca Download" I created a new folder and new categories and everything looks fine, even on the frontend. Now I want to upload pictures from my harddrive to the server and that doesn't work. I can choose files that my colleague already uploaded to the server, but the "browse files" button is completely missing. So I can't upload new pictures. Maybe anyone has an idea what I could do?

Thanks a lot
Melle

Hi and welcome to the board.

First of all: Which version do you use?
Second: Can you upload files with the media manager to this folders (Menu->Content->Media Manager)?

Kind regards

Hi!
Thanks a lot for the welcome and the quick answer!
I'm using version 1.3.6
I can upload pictures to the media manager and also to "PhocaGallery" without any problem. But I can't see neither those pictures nor the folders from the media manager in "PhocaDownload". There's a complete different structure of folders. To me it seems as if there's no connection between thoses sections.

Hi, Phoca Download does not have the same folder as Phoca Gallery:

images/phocagallery vs. images/phocadownload

Anyway, you can set in global configuration of joomla! which position will be the root for images
