Hey there,
I try to get the user upload to work from the front end. The user upload function in the PD config is activated. The specific users have upload rights in the specific categories. When navigating to those catagories, i don't see any possibility to upload files. When clicking on the link "Phoca download - member upload" i get an empty page...
Do I have to set same more option or give some kind of access?
Thanks for your support
Dan

Re: User upload from frontend not working 2.0.0 RC3
Hi,
I just noticed that I made a mistake, describing the problem...
When clicking on the "Add Download" link in the frontend, I don't get an empty page, but the logon fields for the frontend. When I'm already logged in, I get the Log-off-Button.
I tried the same function with the admin-user and .... hey it worked!!!
So this seems to be a authorization problem...
The test user I tried to add a download with has all access-rights in the PD "Options". (see screenshot http://tinyurl.com/6z9n5t4)
Even when giving the user "create"-right in the global joomla config, the user still can't add any files.
Do you know which settings I have to change, so that this works?
It seems to be similar to the other topic I posted in?! ( viewtopic.php?f=31&t=14117 )
Thank you
Dan
EDIT: It seems as if I found the solution to this problem: The User MUST be a member of the Usergroup "registered". Before the user was only a member of "public" and "special".
Then it seems to work just fine!
