The Download couldn't start!

Dear Friends;
I recently have been using phoca download component. Its useful component and have many feature but unfortunately even I read its documentatio, but i couldn't be success to download a test file!
I installed component,
download plugin, and
button download plugin;
how ever i could create a download link to specific file using those extensions. when the page loads, the file link will be shown but after clicking on link, downloading the file doesn't start. also in spite of downloading the file, clicking on it, refers to file's category (but Im sure that i refer the link to specific file that uploaded via phoca component before)!
I was wondering if anybody could help me. Thanks very much.
