Hi,
I'm using Joomla 1.5.22 & Phocadownload 1.3.8.
I have set PhocaDL Sections, Categories & Files to Public level access.
(I do have 1 section that is set to Registered level, however this is not a problem)
The problem is when some one visits the DL section they can view the Sections & Category names. When they click a category, no files are displayed and Joomla prompts for a login name.
In other words the public cannot download and I need to fix this so that the public can download files.
My menu level security is Public and so is Phoca's Section, Category & Files.
What could be the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Access Level Problem
Hi,
Did some testing.
If I choose SECTION LAYOUT, then the problem is solved. Joomla does not ask for login and public can download.
If I choose SECTION LIST LAYOUT, then the problem appears. Joomla asks for login and public cannot download.
Is this a bug that popped up with the lasted version. I was on an earlier version, but upgraded so I could use the tree module.
Can I downgrade without losing information?

Basheer

Re: Access Level Problem
Hi, you can downgrade the same way like upgrade (but there may not be chaning in database - you can see it in install.bak if there were some changed between versions you are using regarding database changes)

Re: Access Level Problem
Hi, really no idea what can be wrong there, try to disable SEF and test the Itemid variable and see if the menu link (itemid = id of menu link) has not set some access rule.

Re: Access Level Problem
Hi,
Problem Solved!
Cause & solution
1. On my Main Menu I had a menu link to Phoca DL. Type Section List.
2. On my Registered User Menu (requires login) I had a Phoca Menu item also with Type Section List.
3. Both Phoca DL menu items had diff. names.
Solution
1. Unpublished Phoca Menu item from Registered User Menu.
Seems to be working fine.
Thanks for all who responded.

Basheer
