Plug In Button Error

Post by pkonstan »

I need to get this working. I am running 1.6.1 with your Beta 2 version of Phoca Download. This is the error I am receiving when I try to link to a document via an article. Thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
the reason of this error messages is very simple, the available Phoca Download Plugin and Phoca Download Button Plugin are Joomla 1.5 Plugins. They are not compatible with joomla 1.6.

Kind regards,

I thought that may be the case. Will there be a new version available soon?

Hi

I'm getting the same error message when I'm trying to use the Phoca Download Button to place a file download in an article.
However, I am using Joomla 1.6, Phoca Download plugin 2.0.1 (joomla 1.6) and Phoca Download Button Plugin 2.0.0 (joomla 1.6) Both plugins should be for Joomla 1.6, according to your website.

Can you tell me why? :idea:

Now it works. I installed the latest version of the download component.
However, when I'm using the Phoca Download Button to place a singel file download. I'm getting an error when I try to download it:
500 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: section, html, phocadownloadView
Furthermore, I can't see my uploaded files in the components cotrol panel under "Files". No files are listet?

I found a solution, it is saying "there is not view named 'section'", right? So I went into /components/com_phocadownload/router.php and found the reference to "section" and changed it to "category"... works like a charm.

It is on line 140 of /components/com_phocadownload/router.php

Before:

Code: Select all

$vars['view'] = 'section';
After:

Code: Select all

$vars['view'] = 'category';
