Access rights

Post by newarkweb »

Hi Guys,

I am new so please be kind :)

I have installed Phoca download (fantastic I might add) but when I go to the download or view of the files it asks me to login even though I have set the permissions to public for all the files, could some one please advise what I am doing wrong.

Thanks

Matt

I have the same problem. I am using Phoca Download a few years. And it worked perfectly. Now I have to do an update. There were problems and I uninstalled Phoca Download. Now I use the 1.3.7 version. Access to only registered. Everything is related files categories and areas.
Something is going wrong

Hy Matt,

I have found my error.
Very easy
I had two menu items.
One time in the main menu. And one time in the user menu.
It was two times a Phoca Download layout area list.
I had to set it on public in the user menu .
The rights of the areas are based on Phoca.

Still a great component.

Thank you Jan.

Hi Guys,

I only have it one menu and it is all set to public but still I am having the issue, is there an answer to this?0

I have just checked in the user option and there aren't any in there? should there be??

If I unistal and downgrade my version am I able to keep the old DB files etc as I don't want to have to upload everything and set it all up?

Thanks

Same issue here. Found another 'user menu' with download files set to registered. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Ok, it seems that I am going to have it in another user menu, just to clarify, what do you mean by 'User Menu'? just the menus that are available to the customer in the menu manager? if not could you please explain so that I can get rid of this annoying login screen.

Thanks
