Hi Benno,

Do you have any idea?

An update and also a new installation of Phocadownload isn't the solution. Is it problem caused by another component?

Kind regards,

Joop

Hi Joop,
sorry for late response. Yes, I have no more ideas, but I contacted Jan to have a look at this. In the meantime you should do several things:

1. Try to get as many informations as possible about this error.
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... rs-on-site
enable Debug Mode, in case it`s not a php problem install and enable a tool like eg. firebug
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/1843/

2.
It's not possible to upload a PDF-file. It's very strange, because it worked a long time very well.
Does this mean, it`s only a problem with PDF files. I mean, are you still able to upload other files eg. mp3 or others?

3. If 2=yes, check:

4.
Is it problem caused by another component?
This is very difficult to answer. Have you recently installed any components, modules or plugins? If so, I would switch it off for testing ...
Kind regards,
Benno

Hi,
When I earlier selected a file, than appeared the name of the file in box "bestandsnaam". Now there is nothing happen.
If I understand it correctly, then it seems lik there is some javascript error - javascript paste the name of the filename into the box.

If you will use Firefox, you will get an error (e.g. while using firebug or checking Error console in Firefox)

Please try to check for the javascript error and let me know.

Jan

Hi Jan, Benno,

Below you can find a message of Firefox(Error console). Do have enough information for good analysis.

Many regards,

Joop

Hmm, seems like the javascript is not able to transfer the name, maybe reinstalling will help ??? (upgrading only - means, you need not to uninstall it to not lose the data)

Hmmm, really no idea what can be wrong there, did you used another browser to test it?

Maybe in administration there is some system plugin which is in conflict with the javascript ???, did you test it with some pure joomla! installation

Hi Jan,

I tried different browsers; Forefox, IE, Chrome. The problem stayed.

I can still use Phocadownload, only the autofill is faulty.
I can upload the PDF-file’s or MP3-file’s via the FTP to the Phocadownload folder. Afterwards I fill in the name of the file in the “filename place” in the Joomla backend. After this I can Phocadownload use; the download is visible on the frontend (website).
So, the automatically fill in is out of order.

I installed PhocaDownload on another URL. In this URL works PhocaDownload perfect.

Strange……

I can try remove some plugins.

Kind regards,
Joop
