Is there a way to maintain a preset file structure??

Hi, Phoca Download has two different layers - database and file. so the structure of displaying files in frontend doesn't depend of how files are stored on your server. Files needs to be added to the system by editing or adding new file (there you can select the file from your server)

So the file in database is filename, the file on your server is file.
