Phoca Download Syndication

I'm not a professional web developer and am new to RSS so please forgive if this is an obvious question. I am using phoca download with Joomla 1.5 to post mp3s for public download. Everything is working beautifully. My question is, can I set up an RSS feed to alert subscribers when new mp3s are posted?

I tried using a Joomla module, but it only syndicates articles and did not recognize updates to my downloads. I also tried writing an RSS file manually, but could not validate the file due to the web address generated by Joomla/phoca for my download page (http://www.demonsbeware.com/index.php?o ... s&Itemid=3). The RSS validator says this is an "invalid token". Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, for now there is not RSS function in Phoca Download so it cannot be directly used. If there is some other extensions which can make RSS work for Phoca Download, I don't know

Is this something that may be implemented in the future. I really like phocadownload, but the only problem I have is the lack of RSS.

I have tried for the past two days to try and figure out how I can take the data directly from the database into an RSS feed but it is way beyond me. foobla RSS does have an extension for it, but €60 is a little steep for my liking.

Hi, I think codejunkie has some solution for RSS, but the creation will take some time

it would be fantastic if it had RSS on it. Phoca download is the best download system I have seen. The others seem to complicated, where Phoca Download is so straight forward.
