error: mod_fcgid: read data timeout

Post by khasta »

Hi
I have decided to use Phoca for my project. I do not know if you are prepared for it, because you have to manage about 15,000 files and 10000 categories. I have installed it and with the half uploaded, I can not access either the files folder or the category folder, because I see Error 500 "Internal Server Error"
I have looked at server log and the following error appears: mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 120 seconds
Besides increasing the time, is there any way to make it load faster when I try to access files or categories? I can not wait several minutes until it opens.
As I comment, Phoca may not be prepared for so many files and categories.
Thank you

Hi, it depend in which view you want to display the files? Are you listing the filenames on your server or file items in administration. If you use standard pagination, you should e.g. load only 20 items from database so it should be normally loaded

So if you mean administration -> list of files with "file folders" then, are you using standard Joomla! pagination feature? This should load only 20 items from database

Hi.
I had the problem when I accessed Components-> Phoca Download-> Files / Categories. At that time the web is left thinking and reacts after a couple of minutes showing the error "Error 500 Internal Server Error" and consulting the PHP error log shows the one that I added in the previous post.

Use standard Joomla 3.8.2 and configuration of the standard component.
I understand that if I access files or categories it should only show the first 20, it is not normal for it to take so long and also show the web error.
I deleted all the files and cleaned the databases and I am uploading again everything in batches to be tested little by little. If the same thing happened again, where could I attach screenshots or data to check what happens?

Thank you,
Joaquin

Hi, see forum rules, you can attach screenshot per external service like imgur is.
