Trying to get gallery to work

I can't seem to find the answers in the docs, so I'm guessing maybe I can't do some of these.
When I select the phoca gallery as a menu type, is there a way to have that menu item open one category, rather than display a list of all of the categories?

I have defined a description for photos, but I don't see that displayed with the picture.

Is there a way to present the user with the opportunity to leave a comment?

As I continue to work with this component, I'm certain that I will run into more questions in need of answers. I might even stumble on the answers to the above questions. But for now I'll just say thanks in advance for the help

Yes, choose the menu item type List of Images (Category view) instead of List of Categories (Categories View)

Are we possibly talking about different versions? I don't see the options to which you refer.

My version is 4.3.4 and from the control panel, I do see users, but none of the others. When I select users the "comment settings" is not there.

Same with the other tips you provided, although the mention of the menu item type did answer that question.

First of all - we are always talking about latest versions of each extension!
Second - Why the hell there is a button OPTIONS (Probably Jan should make it in BIG box with RED Flashing color)

Hi,
If you don't find this button in Phoca Gallery Control Panel you are not logged in with Super User rights. (And you need to have them)
