Infinite loop detected

Hi all,
I am trying to install the Download component, but I get an error message 'Infinite loop detected'. I have also tried ftping the package file into the tmp directory to install from there but the installer keeps asking me to select a package directory as if it cannot see the package.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi, try to see errorLog, maybe you get some php error there
