how in earth do i get image instead folder in cat view?

Hi everyone,

i know, it's a pretty s... question!
I tried everything and all i get: [folder image] cat-name (cat-count).
I'm using phoca gallery 4.1.2. in 3.8 works (joomla 2.5).
and yes, joomla 3.4

Pls, help me.

If you want to display an image as category icon and you don't want to display such image in list of category, then you set the first image as unauthorized. Such image will be displayed as category icon but will be not displayed in list of images.

in 3.8 under Category View Settings (Categories above imasges) there's an option (for the second time) "dispay image instead of folder".
in 4.1.2 there isn't one

did you read the article I have linked for you?
You now need to prepare the images you want to display as category images, as described in the article:

yes, i did read it.

I did that and the only thing i achieved was, that the first image didn't show in the category. But i still got the folder icon prior the cat name.
I read in this forum, that the "display image instead of folder" option under Category View Settings was removed in Phoca Gallery 4.
