I am having trouble figuring how to go about setting up what I want to accomplish. I am trying to create a slideshow of images with smaller thumbnails just below the large image display. I want scroll arrows on the large image that allows the user to change between images and when they do the thumbnails below the larger image become un-greyed. I am just not sure how to go about setting this up. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to set this up?

And I don't want the images to change until the user clicks on the arrow buttons on the sides of the large image. I just want to be able to create the same look using phoca instead of installing another slideshow component on my site.

I am not very familiar with how to implement the switch setting in phoca gallery. When I enter the {gallery} command in my article right now all I get is the text in my article. How do I make it function at all and how would I set up the code to get the switch function to work?
I have looked at the different options in the different plugins but I am getting more confused then when I started. What I want is a large image centered at the bottom of the page with small thumbnails below the large image and the user could click on any of the thumbnails and the large image would become that thumbnail. I don't want the images to change unless they are clicked on and I also would rather not have any player controls on the large image for changing images. In other words the only way to change images would be to click on a thumbnail. So if there were 6 images to display the first image would be the large image and all 6 images would have thumbnails below the large first image. Then if the user clicks on image 2's thumbnail then the large image would become image 2 and nothing else would change. I would appreciate a step by step on how to do this as I have tried to get this kind of configuration but I get so lost in the options I end up with nothing like I want. I am using Joomla 3.3.6 and an Artisteer template.
That is kind of what I want but I would like the thumbnails below the switching image to be all in one line across the page and no text below the thumbnails. An explanation on what all the switches mean would be helpful Is there somewhere I can find the explanation of what each of the switches do?
So far I have figured out the following:
{phocagallery view=switchimage Allows the switching of images on mouseover (How do I set this to only switch the image when the thumbnail is clicked?)
switchheight=128 Height of large image (This one I understand)
switchwidth=128 Width of large image (Again this one is pretty self explanatory)
basicimageid=273} ID number of the image that appears when none of the thumbnails is being hovered over (Again my questions is how to only switch images when the thumbnails below the main image are clicked)
{phocagallery view=category Set the category view of the thumbnails to be displayed (Is there a way to make them all show up in one line?)
categoryid=28 Category of thumbnails (This I also have figured out)
limitstart=0 (Not sure how this works or what it changed)
limitcount=6 ( I am guessing this sets the number of thumbnails to be displayed but am unsure this is correct)
detail=0 (I am not sure which mode I should choose to get just a line of images lined up on the articles page)
displayname=0 I believe this set to 0 will prevent text from being shown under the thumbnail images.
displaydetail=0 Again prevents the display of the text link to a detail view for the thumbnails
displaydownload=0 No download link displayed to keep users from downloading the images I believe
imageshadow=none No image as background I believe.
enableswitch=1} Still confused about this one but I believe that if set to zero then no switching occurs
Please tell me if I am incorrect in any of my assumptions and what switches I need to add or change settings of to accomplish what I am looking for.
