On thumbnail generation.

Is it normal with a large gallery, to have a simple white screen with "Stop Thumbnail Generation" pop-up when accessing or adding a large gallery? (some 1200 images in this case.)

I noticed also that a previously added gallery of only 350 images lost its thumbnails following a first attempt to add this large gallery. Further, I've been stuck with a white screen on the link for "images" in the Phoca back-end if and after I hit the "Stop Thumbnail Generation" link mentioned above.

The images are an average of 5 MB each, but if Phoca can't handle the size/load I may need another solution. Just trying to feel out what issues I may face, hunt for issues that might be easily fixed, etc.

This is "probably" your issue, it's a server resources issue, not a Phoca issue.
