Impossible to write more than one message

Post by ndubau »

Hello,
I have put a guestbook on a site thinking it was like a form that a same user could complete many times. But while trying that page I have an error message if I want to complete many times that form
This name has already been registered on this site, give another
This e-mail address already exists
Have I done an error or is that normal ? And what tool must instead that guestbook ?
Regards
Noël

Hi, see similar posts in this forum. When user is not logged in, he/she is anonymous and cannot use the name and email of someone who is registered (even this is the same person)

You can disable this check in Options:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/3-phoca-g ... parameters

Disable User Check - (No | Yes) Set if user check will be disabled. If yes, anonymous or not logged in users can post email and username which is registered by registered user (disabling this parameter is not recommended)

But this is not recommended as then anonymous can write a post with name of some registered user (so the registered user who is not logged in can write the post by him/herself but the same is possible for all anonymous users - as if you are not logged it, there is no option how to detect that you are it)
