I have uploaded 2 mp3s, each around 50 Mb. When I click download it starts correctly, but stops somewhere around 20 Mb. Tried on many computers with different browser and different net provider. Help please...
I am using Phoca Download 1.0.4 beta and Joomla 1.5.4
I have tried to change the code to download directly the file (as seen here - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1481 ). Now the browser plays the mp3 and if I then go to browser menu/file/save page as... it starts the download and everything is OK, but It should be better if the browser asks me what to do with file (Open with...or Save file as..dialog box). By the way in phoca download component settings there is the mp3 as allowed extension {mp3=audio/mpeg}.

Hi, if there is direct link then you cannot choose the method (displaying or downloading, in case mp3 playing or downloading)... Phoca Download sends the file into the browser and forces the not playing resp. not displaying so that the file will be downloaded... the direct link works not the same way...

Hi, there is no download method in component... Phoca Download only gives the name of the file to the browser and says to the browser that it should not run the file but only give to download...
I will implement direct link to the file in next version but:
- this method can be used now too (if you add the direct link into the external file input field)
- if you use direct link to the file, the whole path to files will be displayed ...
Every new solution will be appreciated, if your solution will work I will implement it into the next version...
