Hello,
I love the component and it is helping me very much. However, I cannot figure out how to get the Preview or Play buttons to show up. I've gone into Options and chose "Yes' to "Display Button", I've added a m4a file for the Preview. But, I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've read many posts int this forum that have had the same problem, but I can find anyone that describes what they actually did to fix the problem.
I have my "Menu Button" as a "List of Files (category view)" and then from that page I go to the actual list of files of the category I choose. I see a "Details" button and a "Download" button but nothing else. What I want to do is have a PDF file for download and an m4a file for the preview.
Please, help.

Hi, there is no option to play m4a file, so maybe this is the problem
You can use flv, mp4, ogv

Okay, I'll change the file type and see if the button shows up and then report back.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I changed the file type from m4a to mp4 and everything is working. Thanks for your help and a great component.

Re: [SOLVED]Preview and Download Button not showing up...
Hi,
I have a similar problem with PDF-files.
I created a document repository a while ago, but couldn't get the preview link. Details and Download were fine, but not Preview.
Today I uploaded a new version of a PDF, as seen in the attached screen dump. Now preview is visible, but not for any of the old documents.
[untrusted connection link]
Is there a way to force some kind of re-read of the documents and have the Preview-link show up?

Hi, I get untrusted connection on that link - did you upload the previewable file to preview folder?

Yeah, the link pointed to a file on my private Owncloud using https with a self-generated certificate. I'd guess that's why it's untrusted.Jan wrote:Hi, I get untrusted connection on that link - did you upload the previewable file to preview folder?

Can you see the below link?

To answer your question. I just uploaded the new file and the preview file showed up all of a sudden.
Didn't do anything other than that. Same thing with the old files that do not show any preview-link.
I'll have a look at the link you posted and see if I can up with a reason for this happening, and then a solution. Thanks for now!

Re: [SOLVED]Preview and Download Button not showing up...
If I understand the instructions right, the preview-files (or the entire files) should be uploaded to the phocadownloadpap-folder. In my case the document repository is public, so everybody should be able to see everything. This would further mean, if I got it right, that the phocadownloadpap-folder should basically be a copy of the phocadownload-folder with the same contents.
Is this correct or did I misunderstand?
I copied the phocadownload contents to phocadownloadpap, and still no preview links on any docs except the one I added a few days ago.
I really appreciate any hints I can get!

Re: [SOLVED]Preview and Download Button not showing up...
Wait a sec, now I get it! The new files that are previewed have all been uploaded through the Phoca Upload-function.
The docs with no preview were uploaded to Joomla using the Phoca Download admin-component in the backend, and the Files/Multiple add-function.
So, is there a way to tell Phoca Download to create the preview-link for the already existing docs that do not have a preview-link?
That is to say in batch. There are way to many files to re-upload one-by-one...
