Hi,
when I try to search for a category (which is in the system) in the backend, it comes up with no results.
Tried to find something about here in the forum, but could not.
Thank you

Re: Backend Category Search not working
Hi, hmm, testing now and it is working OK for me, e.g. when I add "bx" to category filter, I get bxSlider only displayed in the category list
Or which search you exactly mean?

Re: Backend Category Search not working
Hi, now I understand, only parent categories can be filtered, this is due the creation of the tree, this means, the filter can apply only parent category.

Re: Backend Category Search not working
Hi, there is a problem with sql query - building a tree from search a subcategory can be problematic for memory, it is not about finding the subcategory but the tree needs to be created and it needs to fit the ordering criteria (build the tree so it can be right ordered in administration)

Jan, I do not know exactly what you mean. The galleries are sorted and listed alphabetically in the backend in the Phoca Component..

Re: Backend Category Search not working
Hi, yes, but the categories CAN have a tree form - means that you sort parent categories by e.g. title but the subcategories of them are displayed below the parent categories - and we are now talking about filtering - filtering means a specific sql query in database - to find the searched category but as I wrote, we don't have a problem to find the category or subcategory but we have problem to find/order it together with building the tree.
Subcategory Abc cannot be ordered before Def when it is some subcategories of other parent category because of the tree. When it will be parent category it will be ordered after Abc. So tree vs. ordering

Re: Backend Category Search not working
Hi, there is no problem with building tree, it is built, there is a problem witch searching/filtering when tree is used (which is used for the category in Phoca Gallery)
