Cannot re-connect to blockchain

Question

After rebooting the machine when I try multichaind [blockchain-name] -daemon - it says the server may already be running but when I try multichain-cli [blockchain-name] getinfo, it gives the error it cannot connect to the server.

It sounds like MultiChain may not have exited properly - look for a file ending .pid in the ~/.multichain/[chain-name]/ directory, delete it, then try again.
