Asset txns vs empty txns

Does the mining operation distinguish txns in which a asset is affected vs txns in which there isn't any asset transfer?
Are the non-asset transfer txns any less secure(can data in it be altered?) than a txn which has a asset transfer?

There is no difference in these two types of transactions from the perspective of mining or security in the blockchain. In either case a transaction is just a lump of data that gets embedded in a block (after being verified for validity).
