Will multichaind try to reconnect with peers after losing network connection?

Stopping and starting forces a reconnect but does the server try to reconnect with peers if the network connection drops out?

Yes, it will indeed attempt to reconnect to peers who are lost due to network issues.

What is the default config for reconnection? I am not seeing any attempts to re-establish connections to peers and the only way seems to be to stop and start multichaind.

The longer the network is disconnected, the longer it takes between retry attempts. Can you provide some information on how long it was disconnected, and how long you watched it to conclude that it was not attempting to reconnect?
