I really really really want a miniature siberian huskey but they are like $1600 so thats not gonna happen.
We have three. Our Golden Retriever is 9 years old and he's quite the baby (he had papers but I never did register him as we had him neutered right away) Hi mname is Goldie or most often we refer to him as Sir Needalot. Then we have Freckles who I rescued from death row at Animal Control. Here is his story:We had been thinking about rescuing a puppy for awhile after I had to have my 15 year old peke put down. Goldie was ever so lonely and really needed a friend. I had been check the animal control site for a couple of months but hadn't seen any puppies. My daddy passed away on Oct. 12th 2003 and the next week I went to the animal conrol site and saw this little puppy. I went out to see him and brought the golden to see how they got along. I thought he would distract us from our grief. He was to be my youngest DD's dog as Goldie was my older DD's. I adopted him and took him to her 2nd grade class to pick her up. She immediately named him Freckles. Okay, here's the cool part: Freckles was surrendered by his owners to the pound on October 12th. Several weeks later my mom called. She had been going through my dad's old photos and found a photo of a brown and white spotted dog. On the back in my dad's handwriting was "This is my dog Freckles" so here is our dog of destiny:Our third pup is a refugee. I sent the girls down the block to deliver Girl Scout Cookies and they came back with this:Little Miss MuffitPut ads in the paper and contacted metro daily for weeks but didn't hear anything so she's my little buddy! So. although we love our pure-bred dog and they are great to own, please also consider adopting a dog who needs a home. It is such a great feeling to give a home to an unwanted animal and they are wonderful friends!

I think it depends on your lifestle a lot, whichever dog you choose. We have a Jack Russell Terrier - well known breed for having energy, and lots of it. I have two kids who are both full of energy and we are a very outdoorsy type of family so she fits in well.

We have Demi - a chihuahuah-pom mix. Please consider a shelter animal. The best pets we've ever had were shelter animals.
