"Ex-pat wife" ....- kinda like a SAHM, except I have a maid (just 2 x a week) and a driver (everyday) so my housework is somewhat minimized  - except with 2 teenagers - there is always something to clean or wash! - spend a lot of time planning/organizing travel stuff (escpecially our summer trips to the US which are chaos - spend countless hours trying to "find" the things the family needs here in the middle of nowhere (just the SIMPLEST thing can be impossible!)- volunteer a lot at the kids school- constantly trying to "clean out" closets and drawers and such in anticipation of the next move (our is coming this summer)- don't shop or go to lunch as much as the other "wives" - I'd rather scrap!!!!!

I used to run our family business until 2003.   A Welding and Machine Shop.  After my Dad passed away in  2001 my Mom and I sold it and I stayed home for awhile.  I went back to work parttime until my Mom had a major heartattack in Oct. of 2006 and had several strokes after that.  I am now her full time caregiver.
