Hey Cherries 😊
Cold today lol sounds like freezing rain out there! I'm off today so I don't have to go out lol!
Work was SUPER busy yesterday and the time flew by! I started making ornaments last night amd had sooo MUCH fun! These are clear, flat ornaments to decorate and came with stickers, but apparently, ALSO each ornament has a protective clear layer... Oops! 😂 I TOTALLY decorated on the protective cover of some of them before I realized it could be pulled off! 😂 So, I used gel medium to seal those! 😂 😂 😂 It was SUCH a fun way to relax last night! 😊
Today's agenda includes Bible study, maybe writing, loving my fur babies and signing more cards. I'm sooo late sending the cards out! 😂 BUT, I'm having fun with them, and it's the thought that counts, right?! (STILL missing an address or two but decided to NOT worry about it! My friends know I love them, I'm sure!)
Have a wonderful and blessed day, Cherries! 🍒  ❤️😊

Yay for a day off Holly! Oops on the ornaments! Lol! Sounds like something I would do! Lolol! Have fun creating!

Oh! Christmas wreath upon the wall, ’Neath memory’s tender spell A wondrous charm doth o’er thee fall, And round thy beauty dwell.
— Anna de Brémont (1864-1922)

haven’t posted much poetry from daily almanac because it has seemed somewhat dreary of late. lol   But this isn’t too bad.

As old Robby Burns said, “The best laid plans of mice and men gang oft aglee” lol. All my plans yesterday went nowhere as I got sick. Nothing terrible but I got nothing at all done.  Supposed to have lunch with a friend today and may cancel and do catch up from yesterday. Also against going to lunch is that it’s very foggy out.

on a good note, one of my brothers knows I love petite fours and sends me a big box every year.  They were delivered last evening!   another happy note is when this cold and icky out, my cat tends to stay indoors more and is usually curled up next to me on the sofa a lot. Makes me feel very cozy and content.

As my many cousins would say, all y’all have a pleasant and productive day

I hope you feel better now! Kitty really does love you. :) She just has things to do when it’s nice. Lolol!

How sweet of your brother to give you such a special personal gift!

Y’all have a pleasant and productive day too! :)

Good afternoon, DC's!! DH and I have been cleaning upstairs since my oldest daughter, her DH and Emma will be sleeping up there. I occasionally have our cleaning ladies clean the upstairs bathroom, but I know how busy there are this time of year, and we are perfectly capable of cleaning (we just hate doing it!!!).

I am going to work on a challenge while DH is taking his afternoon nap.
Chris, Oh how exciting to have your DD, her DH and Emma come for a visit! Have fun playing!

Thank you everyone for posting.  I love reading what you all are doing, or not doing.  I have given myself permission to not finish journal by Christmas.  My friend’s birthday is in Feb, so that is my plan.  I have cleaned, and put away as much as I can of craft things, ran sweeper and moved desk to make more room in my craft room.  It is ready for 21 year old granddaughter to put a bed on the floor and all her suitcases violin, etc!  The five of our DD’s family will be here around nine.  A long drive!  So glad they do it, though.

So, we will have a whirlwind of activity for next 5 days.  Not sure if I will check in again.  So, have a wonderful week, no matter what you are doing!
hugs

How fun to have your DD and her family come for Christmas Sharon! Enjoy and make special memories and be sure to take lots of pictures! Have a wonderful Christmas if you don’t get back here before then!!!

Hey Cherries!!! It’s warmed up at last! I was quite comfortable last night!

The plan today is to clean out the dining room floor and move the table I’m using for scrapping and then get a tree and decorate it. We both need things from the cabin too.

I’m also excited because Steve finished the stove conversion last night! He still has to finish putting it together. So hopefully in the next couple of days I can start cooking here! I love the air fryer but I need some other food. Lol! Comfort food like Mac n cheese! Lolol!

Have a great Friday Cherries!!!

I'm pretty sure I'm not capable of doing any projects without mistakes. 🙄

You'll see in my gallery the stitching is pretty bad on the quilt. I'm hoping after it's washed and dried it'll be less obvious. 🤞 Anyway, I showed some of the stitching issues and how I tried to minimize them.

Woohoo for Christmas Break!  This teacher is exhausted and ready to try to enjoy Christmas with her family.  Please send some good vibes and prayers for DH’s family.  His uncle is not doing well.  (DH’s parents have been gone for over 20 years and his aunt and uncle are his second parents.) After years of health struggles, he has decided he does not want to go to the hospital.  They are trying to make him comfortable, but Hospice is not in any hurry to get to him, so his daughter (a nurse) and son are trying to care for him at home, round-the-clock.  We know he is suffering and he just wants it to end.  We just want him to stay here for us…but that isn’t fair. :(

Good morning Cherries, I have so missed not being here everyday.  Christmas in Kindergarten is so much fun but exhausting and so much work!! We did Polar Express so I needed to make train tickets, bell necklaces, train whistles and all the cutie stuff to send home to the mommies. I love this grade but I have been in bed by eight almost every night this week.

Celebrated my 59th birthday with my family at a lovely dinner out last weekend. I love when my little party of four, now five with ODS girlfriend can spend time together. It is the best gift of all. Feeling every minute of 59 today but will take it. After losing a friend in November at the age of 57, it brings into very sharp focus how precious life is.

Today was supposed to be baking day but my knee is really hurting today after yesterday's Polar Express party so I am just going to take it easy today and finalize the grocery list for Christmas day dinner.  I am off until January 6th so definitely want to finish the December challenges.

Hope everyone has a great day no matter what your plans are  😊
Enjoy your break Kristin. I hope you get lots of rest and relaxation and time with your family. You are an amazing K teacher and deserve a nice break!
