Re: Scrap a Day, November 24th
Good afternoon! Our Thanksgiving plans are a little strange this year. My stepson is driving into town and will arrive sometime tomorrow. His wife and youngest stepdaughter will be flying in from Georgia and arriving on Tuesday (I think). Her oldest daughter stays in Georgia to take care of their variety of animals (including a pig that stays inside). Her middle  daughter goes to college close to us (Chestnut Hill College) but I'm not sure when or if we will see her.

But the plan for Thanksgiving is that our daughter in law will be cooking dinner at my stepdaughter's house because they are still in Louisiana until the end of college football season. But they asked us to pick up a turkey so off we went to Wegman's and now a big ol' fresh bird is sitting in our fridge. Confused? I know I am!!!

The Eagles play today so a nap will be in my agenda this afternoon.

Hola Cherries and Happy Sunday! Been busy around, here taking care of things.

Yesterday I was drained because my sinuses were messed up and I couldn't sleep very well. So I was up at 5:30 👎 Made coffee, took care of laundry (6 loads), dusted/vacuumed my office. Ran up to PetCo real quick to get dry dog food. Then around lunch time, DH and I went into town to get his snacks at Sprouts, and then get lunch at Bamboo Garden. That used to be THE place to get Chinese about 20 plus years ago. DH actually went there with his grandmother back in the day. Then he and I went there while we were dating. Then it got sold, and the food was eh. Heard horror stories. So we stopped going. Then they sold it again and I was weary about going when I was invited to go to the monthly DAR Casual Lunch earlier this month. But I went and glad I did because the food was AMAZING! Apparently, the original owners never wanted to give the new owners their recipes. Lawyers got involved, etc. So that's what took so long for the Bamboo Garden to get back to the way they were.

Anywho, after lunch, came home and I had zero motivation to get anything done. So we just played catch up with our shows. Slept much better last night and even slept in too. Made up my TODO list for Wednesday since I'm taking the day off from work. I'll be busy watching Anton and Wesley though, all morning, while my SIL takes Draven and Jasper to their eye appts. Jasper will be getting new glasses!

Made breakfast, ran dishwasher, and got TT #4 done.

Off to get started on the weekly sketches. Excited to do the card one too!

Hope y'all have a great day.

Sunshine and blue skies this morning. Looks gorgeous outside and in low 50’s.  I’m sure all the folks dealing with the flooding this week of super heavy rain are happy to see the sun.  Almost no chance of rain this coming week but lots of clouds.

going to goof a bit at the craft table and maybe address Christmas cards.  My printer doesn’t work very well and needs an ink cartridge too so decided the heck with it, I’ll just hand address them and not bother with labels.   Also need to make small grocery list of a few items I need for Thanksgiving dinner like apples, celery and dry bread for stuffing etc. and never made it to post office to mail Christmas ornament exchange so that’s first thing tomorrow.  Oh yeah and buy postage stamps.
dang this is going to b a busy week I guess.  A friend and her great granddaughter are coming over to craft Tuesday too and a big outdoor craft fair at the lilac farm in the foothills Saturday which I am supposed to go to with some neighbors.    Phew
plus Thanksgiving!   lol

have a simple and serene Sunday

Good Morning Barb and Everyone!! We had such a great time traveling this past month. 2 Cruises and a trip to Punta Cana, DR. Lots of beautiful sunshine and beach time. MY FAV! It's really cold and windy here today too. Grandson Brady came up to help with getting outside ready for Winter. Bulbs to dig up and the rest of the deck stuff to put away. Really appreciate him helping.

Medically....I had a CT-Scan and then another Pet Scan because they couldn't see the results well enough.  Left the day after and knew the probability was another tumor growing in my right lung. They're still watching the left one where I had radiation in March. Seems to be doing well. We didn't have phone service while we were cruising, but some of the Islands you can get phone service. My Oncologist had left a text and I was able to call her back. Said no further tumors, but I would need radiation on the one. Had an appointment with my Radiation Oncologist and he agreed and things would get rolling in the next couple weeks. They do a CT-Simulation early Dec. then they'll do planning with that information.

Deanna, your travels sound wonderful! Welcome back! I saw your pictures on Facebook. Looked amazing too!!! Hugs and prayers for your upcoming tests and radiation.  I hope everything goes really well for you!

I can't believe November is almost over and Thanksgiving is this week. Where has time gone!? I have a manuscript due tomorrow, which I should be on time with. I've just lately been so wrapped up with work that that's all it feels like I'm doing. I had tried to get ahead with Christmas shopping and while I've made a dent, I'm nowhere near as "ahead" as I thought I'd be. We're not hosting Thanksgiving but are still doing a bunch of side dishes and desserts to bring to SIL's house. Also DD is having Friendsgiving on the 30th so we still have to clean and bake for that too this week. As for scrapping, I finished a double page layout for one of the TTs and the Cherry Lift challenge and have to take pics. I've got another layout for the last TT I have left to do on my table so I hope to finish that today / tomorrow. Oh! That reminds me..DD needs my scrap table for Friendsgiving so I have to clean the scrap area - ackkkkkk LOL

This year has really flown by hasn’t it?! Sounds like your week is super busy! Make sure you take time to enjoy it too!!!

Re: Scrap a Day, November 24th
Hey Cherries! The wind has FINALLY stopped!!! I’ve been in tornadoes and hurricanes that had winds like that! But up here they barely cause damage! Crazy! It’s still cold. 33 and feels like 30. Brrr!!! But that’s warmer than the 27 with a big wind chill the past 2 days!

I can’t believe another week has gone by! Time just seems to be speeding faster and faster! Apparently I can’t count and needed 14 more Christmas cards. I got the bases all ready and printed and cut the rest of the images I need. So hopefully I can finish them today. I love how they’re turning out! One of the few times I had a vision and it actually came out the way I imagined it! Lolol!

Not real sure what our Thanksgiving weekend will be like. We will go to the community potluck at the school on Thursday. I’m making an apple pie. Friday evening 2 stepsons, our granddaughter and one grandson might come over for a couple of days. Even if they don’t I’ll make our turkey dinner on Saturday. It kind of became a tradition a few years ago and I hope it will continue. Oldest stepson and youngest grandson are going to Florida to visit family. That’s a good thing because Joe has never been there. :)

Otherwise just trying to finish these cards so I can start on the gift albums! Time is getting away from me!

Have a spectacular Sunday!!!

Hey Cherries 😊 my sleep schedule got a lil wonky - I was up 430 again and just read for a while. Now I'm having coffee and getting ready for work. I got in an hour lol
Stay blessed Cherries 🍒 ❤️

Coffee is a necessity at that hour!  That was me the past 3 days.  This morning I actually slept until 7.

I ALWAYS JUST want to go to bed early this time of the year lol my work schedule doesn't always agree! 😂 🤷🏻
I'm glad you got SOME sleep though! 😊

Re: Scrap a Day, November 24th
Hi there!

Thought I had better check while having some lunch. We are still in the deep freeze! High of 17F predicted for today. Br….. But I did get out and shovel the walk yesterday. And granddaughter went out hunting with her dad this morning and shot her deer. My DD will be making room in her freezer now.

Made my cranberries for Thanksgiving this morning and got the turkey out of the freezer to thaw yesterday. Took some bananas out of the freezer to make muffins. And maybe some mincemeat tarts for me. That way I can freeze some and eat them as I wish. .

Still working on my cruise travel journals. Got the sisters done, except putting the binding on. Working on mine and then I can put the travel stuff away. Waiting for pictures to arrive- hopefully early this week.

Welcome back, Deanna! Your cruises and trips sound so relaxing and warm! Good thing you have help to winterize though - that must be a bit of culture shock coming back from the cruises to that!

(((Hugs))) about your medical update. I'm glad there are no further tumors but ugh on the continuing radiation. Hoping for the best for you!
Happy Scrapping!

Hey Cherries. Chilly and windy today. Right now 47 with a feels like of 34. Got a little bit of my act together yesterday. Did some online Christmas shopping for my great nieces and sorted some packages that have come in. And got my grocery delivery that included a 20.5 pound fresh turkey! Got the stuffing I need to stuff it too. So I’m ready to go on Thursday. Gotta love delivery. Today hope to get more things done around here and maybe even scrap. We’ll see how it goes.

Have a great Sunday Cherries.

Sounds like you are hosting Thanksgiving, Barb.  I did a lot of online shopping too.  So much easier than shopping in person.  I never mind the holiday crowd, but the check out lines are stressful!  LOL!

No I am not hosting. What we are doing is we are all making something  and I am making the turkey. It may sound weird but we are all doing Thanksgiving at my mom's house. Her house has been the hub of almost all holidays and family gatherings, and we all decided to have one last holiday gathering there. Everyone is pitching in and making something. I volunteered to make the turkey. I used to host Thanksgiving for years and then stopped when DH passed. I just couldn't bear to make a turkey and not  have him carving it after that. So this will be my first year since then making a turkey. But since I am not hosting it is all I have to do, and either my brother-in-law or son-in-law will carve it.
