I'm so glad to see you back Barb. I know how difficult it is to lose a parent. I was 67 when my mom passed and I realized I was officially an orphan.
Nothing much going on here so I'm going to attempt this week's sketch.

It was my pleasure to post scrap a day and the goals for you. Continue to take your time and if there's ever a day you need a break...just holler. We are here for you and love you!
Thanking all of our veterans for all that they have done to protect our country. I've got many family members and friends who have served, but I do have my FAVE veteran! DH! I post his picture on FB every Veterans Day.
Been going a mile a minute this morning as I'm juggling quite a few (work) balls. Researching a feature; Testing a feature and then other things that are coming at me. Just thankful that the day is already half over!
I was trying to do all 5 challenges for Flasher's Halloween Party but I managed to get FOUR done. Which is awesome (for me) since I'm way too busy with work and life. So I'm happy with the ones I DID do!
Anywho...back to work for me. Adios cherries!
Thank you so much Brandy.
Thank you Ginni.GinniG wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 2:06 pmpawprints wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 11:07 amI’m back Cherries. I want to thank you all for all of your thoughts and prayers over the last three weeks. My mom is at peace now, and we take comfort in the fact that this painful disease did not drag on and on and that she did not suffer. She was only in hospice for one week, where she was kept as comfortable as possible. The place was truly amazing.
I am just starting to try and get back into some kind of a routine. I spent the week recuperating from all the running around and emotional stress, and catching up on things here. I have a lot of catching up to do on the boards and will get to closing out my challenges and putting up new ones soon. Thank you so much to Brandy and Susan for taking over posting the scrap a day for me each day, and thank you to Susan for putting up the master list this month and to Brandy for posting this month’s goals thread. I have missed being on the boards and all my Cherry friends, but I truly felt all the love and hugs and prayers from all of you.
I would also like to mention that today we honor all of those that have served and are serving our country, and we thank them all for their service and their sacrifices. I don’t even want to think about where we would be without them.
I hope you all have a great day my Cherry friends.
Hi Barb! It’s good to “see” you again. I’ve also been in your shoes. The feelings and emotions are incredible. Charleneanne is right that we are all here for you whatever you need. Take your time and don’t be hard on yourself.
And we’re all VERY grateful that Sue and Brandy took over for you. Thanks so much ladies!!!
And YES!!! Our veterans deserve all the glory and kudos and thanks we can give! All of my uncles, my dad, several cousins and many friends have served in different branches. We owe them all our freedoms!!!
Thank you Chris. Yes it is so weird having both parents gone now. Mom was the center of the family the last 10 years. Her passing has truly left a hole in all of our hearts.
So good to have you back, Barb! Losing a mum is a hard one for sure!!!
I am back home and playing catch up. Yesterday at the Seattle airport, the Alaska area is all under construction. What a mess. Thankfully a young gal helped my get my bag tag and then get it loaded to the right folks. We had made an appointment to clear TSA, so that went very quickly. The flight left on time and I was home a little after 3pm. It all still wiped me out.
Today, I have tackled my laundry. paid some bills. Cleaned out the fridge and assess what we needed. Ran the dishwasher. Have gone grocery shopping taking my veteran with my to save 10% today. It all helps with how high the prices are. DH kept remarking on how expensive everything is. Oh, yes! For sure. Have a reality check. Hard to make the $$ go round.
So, I have finally sat down to eat some lunch. Had a package waiting from ACOT for me. And I need to open it and see what goodies I ordered.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
Barb,
you have been MiSSED!!! I’m happy to see you. So many hugs for everything. As you work through these days, know that we are all here for you. xxoo
it was my pleasure to help out along with Brandy, in any way we could.
