I used to have a local group of scrappers and we would get together. Then some of us started knitting and we would get together. Now it’s just me and an occasional once a month crop. Quite frankly, I’d rather scrap at home and not have to pack up everything but the kitchen sink.

I totally agree!!! When I got started scrapbooking, it was me and 5 girls. We got together 6x year. Back in day when half of us were single and none of us had kids/nephews. LOL. Then it went to 4x year. Then 3x. Now, it's just me and 2 other girls since the others are now out-of-state. WE can BARELY get together 2x a year! I tend to get more done by myself though.

Been a busy evening.  My musical co-director (our band director) started a new Drama class this year. His class performed their Fall play:  Murder at the Pie Auction.  It was a fun, murder mystery, one-act play.  Our students did well and seemed to have fun!

Howdy cherries! Just relaxing with DH right now. He has whiskey. I have wine.  We watched SWAT earlier, watching Fire Country right now. Later....Blue Bloods. The babies are all snoozing. Miss Penny got SPOILED!

DH ended up working late today. Later than all the days this week, so we went out to dinner. Our local steakhouse was closed for 3 months due to renovations and an upgrade to their kitchen. They re-opened 2 weeks ago, so we went there today. Super YUMM-O! Haven't had a good steak (that we didn't have to cook!) in a while. I had the NY strip; DH had rib-eye. They were super busy but we were in/out in 30 minutes!!!

What’s the Friday night plan?  

After everyone else is finished with dinner, I plan on taking over the dining room table with pics and albums.  I have around 400 pics that need to be put away.  And, I have to date them all first.  Not a fun night, but I do have a nice bottle of wine chilling for me! 

OoooOoo....what kind of wine are you drinking tonight?!! I opened up an Apothic "Crush".....
  

I am currently drinking Apothic Inferno….love the bourbon-barrel infused red!

Work went surprisingly well and we went to Waffle House. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, grits, ham and toast and waffle LOL I have leftover grits, ham and waffle!
We've been watching movies and shows and I've been working on a layout. Done for the night though lol

I would love to scrap with friends! It's been too long lol! I do online crops sometimes when I can, and sometimes scrap a long with YouTube. I like that I don't have to pack!  
Whenever I get the chance to visit my BFF (in North Carolina), I take along a crop bag filled to the brim!

Three hours later and I have yet to touch any paper. I worked on my x-sttch project a bit but am going cross-eyed from the tiny pattern sheet and am too lazy to set up my magnifier lamp downstairs. Maybe I should just make a quidk mug of hot cider with a touch of rum and just stare at my pretty scraps of paper.

That's so awesome! I loved performing arts when I younger, and sometimes wish I'd joined the drama club my freshman year in high school. I LOVE theatre, and ALL art, and you're a blessing to the students, Laura. Know that the encouragement you give these kids will stick with them for their whole lives. I can recall specific things that certain teachers and role models said to me when I was younger, and I feel blessed by that.

Sharman, Sue and I are together at this moment scrapbooking together!  So lucky to be in the same area.  

I"m jealous! I wish I had friends who like to craft an/dor scrapbooking groups in my area. The one I did finally find was kinda clicky and not very fun.

I know what that's like! I consider it a blessing to have found ACOT and the Cherries - I WISH I had the funds to travel and visit and crop! Sometimes I do the online crops, and scrap along with YouTube LOL! I have joined several Facebook groups,too! I mostly don't mind to scrap alone - I'm used to doing arts and crafts alone but it's super fun to do with others! My cats keep me company and I also do a LOT of arts and crafts while watching TV with my boyfriend, Omer.

I have the Black Friday one on the table and I’m finishing up the art journal 

I've been working on FHP challenges #2- orange, yellow and white! It's been SUPER FUN! I was in a scrappy slump for a little while lol!

I feel like I"m doing all of them. I still that FHP #` to do before Monday - I just can't find the "right" photo!. I also want to finish the Sketch with a Twist, Sketch, and Manuf with a Twist challenges. I am totally at a loss for the movie poster one. I know what I want to do, just can't seem to start! What about the rest of you?

I get that way sometimes! I've put together a bunch of mini page kits with just papers and a photo, but I ALSO have tons of photos to chose from, and it can be a challenge of it's own to figure out which to do. Lol!
I just start planning sometimes - rummage through supplies lol sometimes though, my layouts start by me journaling. It doesn't always end up on the layout, or it gets hidden, but it can help. ALSO, the gallery, Pinterest and Facebook can give me inspiration. I'm liking sketches sometimes and if course a good scrap lift!

Darn!  I wish I had come on here earlier!  I was fixing dinner and working on a layout.  This one is for Flasher's title challenge.  I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out!  I used an Allison Davis sketch for a class I've been taking through Scrapbooks and Cards Today.  I wasn't too sure about it at first but I LOVE how it's turned out!  Nuvo Drops are drying on it now and I might want to do a bit of stitching on it.  I'll see tomorrow. 

Youngest stepson is here and needed to have a serious conversation with us so that took awhile.  He's trying to quit drinking which he DESPERATELY needs to do but  he's been trying for years.  This time I'm hoping and praying he's serious!  He said he woke up at 4 AM and I was like THAT'S why I woke up at 4 and couldn't go back to sleep!!!  I didn't know who I was praying for but I was praying hard!!!  Now I'm glad I did! 

Anyway, you ladies scrapping together sounds so nice!  I miss those days.  No one here scraps so I do online crops.  Tomorrow is the VIP Zoom crop for the Creative Scrapbookers Magazine.  And a Facebook group I belong to is having a crop too.    Hopefully I can spend a lot of the weekend playing!

And wine...  I can only have one or two glasses and I'm toast!  Was at BFF's house about 2 years and she offered me wine.  I hadn't eaten and the wine was good but I only had one glass.  Steve was driving us home and I saw our cabin all lit up and I said to him "That's a cute place!   Who lives there?"  I was so out of it I didn't recognize my own home!!! 

Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful Saturday morning!  It's almost midnight here and I need to hunt cherries and get some sleep!

Sorry I missed the chat. I came home and made salmon for dinner and got my pj’s on while preheating the oven. I watched the movie Lou on Netflix. So good but I was alone in the house and it was super windy out. My house is old and creaky lol. A good setting for the movie but I was warm and cozy in my bed.
