My personal favorites are Alfred Hitchcock, and Stephen King. What scares me most are the ones that really could happen, when they go way out there to scare it's silly, not scary.
My favorite is the Pit and the Pendulum , but I loved 11-22-63 from Stephen King. It's a series that really makes you think. It's, without giving it away, if you could go back to the day Kennedy was shot, would you stop it from happening. Before you quickly say yes you have to realize how everything changes if you have Oswald miss. PS the book is awesome too.
I'm ALMOST a fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street series- I watched them a LOT as a kid. I like that they're silly scary. Halloween movies are always a classic and maybe I'll watch the new one tonight?
The religious scary movies scare me a LOT, and I LOVE zombie things!

I like some, the first one I ever watched was “Die, Monster, Die!?? Very old , never heard of it since. My favorite right off hand is Sleepy Hollow, I am going to watch it tonight. I. Stayed at the Stanley, in Estes park, CO for my DD 40th ! That was fun, they have “The Shining” on a continuous loop in the rooms, that was the first time I ever saw it. Thats my favorite memory of watching a Scary movie! I am NOT a fan of computer generated monsters and animals and such, really fake, and most science fiction, so I have watched very few, and I am good with that!
OH! I forgot about Ring, Ju-On, Candyman, Nightmare on Elm Street, It (I hate clowns anyway; this movie solidified my opinion that clowns are evil), and The Others (though not really a horror movie). I feel a horror movie marathon happening this weekend!
I do like scary movies - I do NOT like slasher/gore/bloody movies. Have never seen a Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street and never plan to. My favorite are the thrill types like the Ring. Scariest movie I have ever seen by far is the Exorcist. Still cannot watch it all the way through anymore. When I went to DC we went to see the Exorcist steps - very cool to see but NO WAY was I putting even one foot on them!!!

I like scary but not bloody/guts. Old school, the Shining, Rosemary’s Baby, Exorcist. Some of the good ones!

I love ALL the scary movies! We make a point to watch scary movies for Friday movie night in October. Last night we had to watch Hereditary because DD was the guy in that movie to go do Karaoke with her friends the other day. {Her "real" costume was Richie & Carmy from The Bear.)
Happy Scrapping!

I do not like them BUT I have some favs that we watch traditionally every year in October! The Shining and Halloween. Originals only and we watched them outside at night! It gets really spooky but fun!
Doing all the crafty things.
No! Not a scary movie fan at all! I think the only "scary" movie I've seen is the very first Scream movie. I'm just not one for those!

That movie is truly terrifying. That was a once and done for me. That was in my head for weeks. Wished I had never seen it. You are much brave than me!!scrappinmom99 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 6:34 pmI love ALL the scary movies! We make a point to watch scary movies for Friday movie night in October. No I am a huge baby when it comes to scary movies. I always have bad dreams after for days so I stay away from them.
