Another sunny, chilly morning out. Yesterday, I just bundled up and headed out to walk. Makes a difference when the wind is calm! Hope to get out there today. Need to vacuum through and mop my kitchen first, though.
Tomorrow we will be hosting Halloween. It’s tradition to have pizza and trick or treat in my neighbourhood. You always have to plan to have layers under their costume.. it will be no different this year.
Hope to play this afternoon.
Hugs and much love to Barb and her family.
Brandy I always have a lot of headaches when I’m at DD’s in Florida. Never occurred to me might b humidity. We don’t have a lot of that in California during the warmer weather. Hmm
Chris. Yeah on the falling. I have to b so careful these later years. If I fall now I have to get help to get off the ground and it’s scary. When I head out the door for a walk here lol one of the grandkids immediately says “I’ll go with you grandma!” lol.
breezy here today. Weather guy says above average temps and below average rain for the next week. DD says we’ll see. No plans but walking down to pick up the kids at bus stop later. DD says maybe fast food takeout for dinner tonight. Yeah lol! She cooks a healthy balanced meal every night when she comes home from work. I need my junk food too!
have a way cool Wednesday!

Thanks for updating us, Brandy. I'm so sorry for Barb and her family's loss. Keeping them all close in thought and prayer during this sad time.
Beautiful day here today. Did a couple of errands and dropped of a Starbucks to a friend. Home and catching up on the board and with my blogs. I want to open the windows so badly, but the smell is horrific outside. When the farmers are fertilizing around here, the air quality alert is high! So, I will be working on a couple of card designs and the upcoming Turkey Trot. Also need to get my space ready for Flasher's Halloween party tomorrow. I have to go out in the morning, but plan to be here for the afternoon on.

Hope you are feeling better and the humidity lifts. I can take the heat but when there's humidity involved too....ugh!blbabe1234 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 8:40 amGood morning cherries. Received a text from Barb earlier this morning. Her mother passed away. Keep Barb and her family in your thoughts/prayers. Thankful that her mother is no longer in pain.
Nothing much going on here except for work. Been dealing with a headache off/on all week due to the weather. Even for us this far south....it feels like a very humid June. Not HOT...just very very humid. 70 to 85% humidity, and temps hanging onto the upper 70s for lows/upper 90s for highs....and very little wind. Hopefully there's a front on it's way SOON to remove some of this humidity.
Lookin' forward to Flasher Laura's Party tomorrow!
Hope y'all have a great day.

Nothing new here. I fell late last night. I think I got up out of bed too quickly and got dizzy. Luckily I fell back on the bedroom rug and not on the hard bathroom floor. I’m a little sore this morning but nothing major.
I’d like to get another challenge done today.
Oh my, Chris! Hope you feel better and the soreness goes away!
Hurray for a day off and the only adulting is crafting!JollyHollyScraps wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 10:02 amContinued prayers for Barb and her family at this time. I'm so sad for her!
Cherries, I'm FINALLY off today! No plans! Except for tidying up my area, and posting my Step 4 for the Progressive Challenge. I'd like to do another challenge today, too!
I have NO IDEA where October went! It certainly is flying by!
I've been sorting papers, scraps and photos into simple page kits- I'm REALLY wanting to do some stash busting next month! I've signed up for Stacy's teams challenge, too! I'm DETERMINED to make MORE time for scrapping!
Of course, I have a TON of photos NOT in kits, too, LOL! LOTS of options!
Have a blessed day, Cherries

Sounds like a fun happy hour. Looking forward to the pictures.trainmom wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 10:50 amHugs to Barb.
Yesterday afternoon I hosted a Halloween themed happy hour so I spent most of yesterday cleaning and decorating. It’s was fun, I’ll share photos later. I saved orange and black food without it being weird so I pleased that I pulled that off.
mostly cleaned up now but I do need to buy more Halloween candy because we get a zillion trick or treaters and we ran out last year and the weather is supposed to be beautiful tomorrow. The stores still have plenty left so I’m hoping it goes on sale tomorrow morning.
going to the Sixers game tonight, they’ve been terrible so far this year, hopefully they’ll be better tonight.
Sounds like a fun evening of trick or treating. I love when our grandkids T or T from here.MTCanuk wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 11:28 amAnother sunny, chilly morning out. Chris, I’ve felt the same way about opening the posts. When I saw Brandy had posted I knew.
GF you need to be careful! I’m glad you’re not hurt! Take it easy until that soreness goes away!

Enjoy creating and tidying up!

Hi Cherries! We had quite the storm last night! The wind HOWLED like crazy. But other than a bush that lost a BUNCH of leaves there’s no damage. It will be interesting to see how much water is in the rain gauge! It started about 1 yesterday afternoon and literally just stopped at 10:15! I’m amazed and very grateful that we didn’t lose power!
I worked on Christmas cards yesterday. I got 6 finished out of 30 so that’s big progress for me! I don’t think I’ve ever started them this early! They’re quick and easy to make.
Unfortunately I will miss the Halloween party tomorrow. We have company coming Friday evening and I have to get ready. Our nephew Riley and his wife Bella and their 2 daughters (Emily is about 2 and Ryleigh is just a few months old) are coming on the ferry and will be leaving on the Sunday mornin ferry. A quick visit to help Steve cut fire wood and maybe a couple of other things.
So that means WE ARE STARTING THE BIG MOVE TO THE HOUSE!!!! I’ve been waiting for this since 2019!!!! I’m so excited!!! It also means that for the first time since 2016 the cabin will be used as a guest house which is exactly what we intended it to be from the beginning. But we needed a place to stay until we got the house done.
We won’t have water hooked up yet but we will have electricity and heat. And there’s a LOT more room over there! We know how to work around not having water hooked up. Especially since our water tank went bone dry in the summer!
So tomorrow is town day. I’ll be taking a bunch of blankets and such to the laundromat as well as doing our normal Thursday errands. I’ll also start looking for ornaments for the swap! Today and Friday will be cleaning and preparation days. I won’t be able to play until at least Sunday. So hopefully we will have extra days for posting projects!
Anyway that’s what I’ll be doing the next few days!
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
