Good morning everyone

Busy weekend for sure.
We won our football game Friday night!  What an exciting game!  We are headed to the playoffs and found out Saturday that we will have to travel to Washington, Illinois - a 2 hour drive for us.  Not a problem because it's the playoffs!!!

I spent Saturday with my daughter and Granddaughter.  Did a little bit of shopping and hung out for a while. DGD is being very stubborn and is not walking yet.  She is 14 months old, but she was a month premature, so docs said just give it a little more time.  And boy oh boy, has she got some speed while crawling...lol!
Saturday night we had dinner with friends.  It was an early night as I wanted to get an early start on my Sunday.

Sunday was so busy.  After I scrubbed down the kitchen, I started doing lots of meal prep to stock the freezer a bit.  Stuff I completed:
Broccoli and cheddar soup
Sheperds pie
tater tot casserole
chicken pot pie
breakfast bowls
lasagna
spice cake
chocolate chip cookies
sugar cookies

I took a break and unfortunately couldn't find the energy to get back to it.  my feet hurt!  lol

so tonight I am hoping to continue since I have the vegetables already to go:
chicken enchiladas
chicken noodle soup
beef vegetable soup

I still have a list of soups and casseroles to make, I just ran out of Pyrex, so I'm just going to buy some aluminum pans.

And somehow I managed to get a page done and 2 loads of laundry..lol.  Explains why my feet hurt.  At least the hip pain seems to have subsided.  I was feeling it more in my upper thigh.  Talking with a friend, I'm wondering if it's more the sciatic nerve acting up...idk.  Getting old sucks.

Have a great day!

WOWOW Wendy! You’re so good at the meal planning!!! Sounds like some delicious food for your family!

I wondered too if your pain was sciatica. I have that too sometimes. It’s no fun for sure. When you’re in the kitchen do you have a padded mat or rug to stand on? That will help. And pay attention to things like putting weight on one side more than the other. The other thing you can do is stretches with your legs. We get a prescription cream that’s called diclofenac (I think that’s how it’s spelled). It’s a bit stronger than Voltaren cream. It helps me a lot! And there’s no smell. Hope this helps!

Oh and congratulations on going to the playoffs!!! What fun for your son in his senior year!!!

Well quiet at last.  DD, her hubby and the grandkids are gone to work and school.  I’m only used to it being me and the cat. lol.  The teenager is coming back after lunch - he has been out at his dad’s but he is on Independent study so will mostly b in his room on the computer.

it is grey and to me beautiful out. I love fall.  Never mind it’s going to b 84 today.  Weather at home is 10 degrees cooler lol and going to rain for sure Wednesday night so wet leaves for trick or treaters.  My DD has gradually gotten me to extend my visit to 3 weeks over last 3-4 years so I’m always here for Halloween now.

no plans today or all week other than Halloween Thursday. Walk down and meet the kids at the bus stop late afternoons. I start early and do my daily walk too.  Saturday though is booked solid with DGDs basketball game in the morning. Then DD and I are going to Stetson Estate for tour and over to Cocoa Village for shopping.

take care and have a mild Monday.
Enjoy your visit Charleneanne! And your shopping and tour! For Florida this time of year 84 isn’t that bad!!  Much cooler than those 100s you were getting in Cali!

It's crazy how much we rely on our internet and when it isn't working right, it's all so frustrating!!!  Hope you guys get your issues figured out.

I headed out this morning to get groceries and my flu shot.  Back home with all my stuff put away.  Need to put my sheets in the dryer now , too.  DH headed off with a coffee buddy to drive into the mountains to see the trees.  I was invited, but didn't want to spend my day in the back seat.

It's another crazy windy day for us.  sun is shining and to reach the 50's.

Have a good Monday, everyone!

Leslee, maybe your DH will take you for a drive to see the leaves one day. I agree that sitting in the back seat wouldn’t give you much to look at. And two men chatting up a storm would be boring!

Barb, I'm so sorry you are dealing with wifi issues on top of everything else. I hope this can be resolved easily.

Nothing going on here. I just finished this week's challenge and going to start another. I've been digging into older stash so I can put a dent in all this stuff so I can start a huge organization and cleaning in January 2025!!

My goal is to reorganize my scrappy stuff too Chris! Are you using a system or just winging it? I’m doing a bit of Totally Tiffany and just winging it.  Have fun busting your stash!

Hey Cherries. Another very long day yesterday. Spent time with my mom, then had to go to her house to take care of some things. DS and I didn’t get home until 8:00 last night, then had to deal with the no internet problem. Was on a chat with support for at least an hour and we tried everything with the new modem and still nothing. So now they have to send a technician. I don’t even know if I can be home depending on my mom. This is so frustrating. So we have no internet, no WiFi and because of that no tv. I just don’t need this right now.

Going to go be with my mom this morning, then have to come home and make alot of phone calls. And somehow pay bills with no internet. Thank goodness I have my phone to use. Tech is supposed to come tomorrow.

I hope you all have a great day.
((((Barb)))) I'm so sorry you are going through all of this. My heart is with you and your mom. And no, you certainly don't need all this internet / wifi nonsense right now.

Happy Scrapping!

Re: Scrap a Day, October 28th
Hi Cherries! I’m dragging this morning. I need energy! Lol! Don’t you wish you could just wave a magic wand (or twitch your nose like in Bewitched)?! I sure do! I need to clean the cabin for guests this weekend and I need to clean upstairs in the house because we’re basically moving in Thursday or Friday!!! AT LAST!!! Steve started building this house in 2019 and we had everything lined up to have family come the summer of 2020. And we all know what happened then. It wasn’t  till the summer of 2022 when we finally got some help! He’s done a lot of this house all by himself. Amazing!!!

My plan for today is to work on a few cards, do a bit of cleaning in the cabin and then go to the house and at least pick up some. I still have a bunch of layouts to put into albums but I can’t clean and do albums because my back won’t take that. So I may have to pack up the layouts and finish them in January…

Hope you’re all having a good day!!!

I enjoyed my nothing day yesterday and did a bit of scrapping. I have a pretty slow day today as well but I have a few errands.

Here is the page I did yesterday which is all journaling
Image
Here is the facing page with some of the photos that it talks about

these pages are actually different sizes, the one with the journaling is much smaller and it will open up to show 2 more whale photos, which I will be doing today, probably. I really enjoy working with these mixed up albums, it is sort of like puzzle figuring out which type and size of page to use with which photos.

I love that cute little floral whale! Nice touch! How do you do the mixed up albums? Are they 3-ring and you just use various page protectors? I'm slowly getting used to the 8x11 format having done 12x12 forever. But sometimes a smaller page is just enough.

Hey Cherries 😊 late check in here lol
Work's been kicking my tail and I've been mega tired and over sleeping. JUST about done with THIS ugly cold, too!
I've finished the 4th Step of the Progressive Challenge and need to take a picture. I want to do a card also, and play in my art journal tonight. I work tomorrow and then get two days off, though Thursday will be a little busy.
Blessings,my Cherry Friends 🍒❤️☺️

The ones I have are from 49& market and they are 6x8 binders with many rings. There cardboard pages, some of which fold and some are smaller, and I use them like an art journal. And  There are page protectors and I bought extra 6x8 protectors because I don’t use the  ones with many smaller compartments. They dont have them in the store anymore but 49 and market also makes these folio things that are similar less pages and I rings and I can add a spiral notebook to them. I have no more shelves that can hold 12x2 so I’m tying all different other sizes and right now it’s 6x8.

Ooh, I see how it works with the many rings, then. I wish I had a local craft store to see these types of things in person. My Michaels closed a few years ago and that was the only walkable one. I'm still wrapping my head around 8x11 so I might have to work up to totally mismatched sizes    But I'm trying to think outside the box.
