Scrap a Day, October 25
Good Morning Cherries and HAPPY FRIDAY!!
lol for those of you that impacts!
I, for one, am very happy for Friday!!!

Susan here, posting for our sweet Barb!
All thoughts, and prayers are very much appreciated by her and the family. ❤️❤️

so it’s Friday and I have an all day HR leadership training to sit in offsite today! The upside is I get to wear regular clothes and shoes!!! Eeeek.  Typically I have to wear steel toes and hi vis !

What’s on the agenda for you today?
yesterday really felt and looked like fall here - 72 and that weird fall partial sun through lots of clouds, windy too.

whatever you have planned for today I hope you enjoy it to the fullest and take time to see those golden moments of magic sprinkled around ! They are there if you look for them!

Hope your training day goes quick and easy!

Not much here today.  Did some online Christmas shopping for the DGKs while having my coffee.  Hope to finish the progressive challenge today and finish packing for my crop in November which is right around the corner.

Keeping Barb, her mom and the family in my prayers.

TGIF!  just been busy here and I tend to get super quiet and withdrawn this time of year...ugh  the 15 yr anniversary of my daddy passing is coming up on Nov 6th which is also hubby's and I 31 yr anniversary  ugh  its a lil worse this year for me with youngest DD's wedding coming in a couple of months and knowing he didn't get to see any of my girls get married :(

I have been scrapping tho....I have a few to upload today and I'm just gonna keep using it as a way to distract myself...throwing a lot of pics just in TN's to get them done....

tomorrow is our downtown trick or treat stuff here in town so I will do that with oldest dd and the grandsons (their dad is out of town for a military training) I love going with them for this every year so that will be good

have a great Friday all!!!

TGIF!!!!  The countdown has begun!!!  Only 7 hours to go!! lol

When I got out of my car at work, I found a penny on the ground and it was head's up- that's a good sign for sure!

My daughter went away for the weekend and accidentally took my debit card with her, so shopping this weekend will be limited...lol.

Final regular season football is tonight.  Jason will be starting and he is so excited to be back to "normal".  I just have to make sure I'm prepared as I'm sure it's going to be cold.  I woke up to rain this morning, so it's already damp and dreary out.

I hope everyone has a great day!

6 hours and 50 minutes....lol

Hey Cherries
Continued prayers for Barb and her family during this time. 🙏🏻
I'm up having coffee. I work 12-6:30 today and tomorrow. I NEED to take this art journal to the post office, but all 800 rolls of clear packing tape seem to be MIA! 🙄 It's ALWAYS something, huh? 😂 NOW I have to go to the store after work and get some more tape!
I'm close to being over this pesky cold, and it's moved on to Omer. Who stubbornly refuses to take any cold meds. 😂 🙄
Have a blessed day, Cherries! 🍒 ❤️

Hello to you all.  Thinking of dear Barb and her hubby.  I have nothing to do and no where to go today, so I'm pumped!  I spent a relaxing morning with a big cuppa coffee, spoke on the phone with my dear son in California and now I'm getting ready to go in my craft room and make some crafty project of one kind or another.  I just video chatted with my son and sweet little granddaughter just the other night, but he called to share some good news.  I'm so thankful that he still wants to call his mama for any little thing.  It's so hard living on opposite sides of the country.  Sometimes I get to feeling down because I miss them all so much and I can't just hop in the car to visit them.  Airfare from Maine to CA. is super expensive, but dh and I recently bought tickets to go out to see them for our sweet "P"'s second birthday in the beginning of December.  Something I'm definitely looking forward to.  Y'all have a wonderful and blessed day!

Continued thoughts and prayers to Barb and her family.

Seems pretty cloudy out here and it is chilly.  Said 31F when I got up this morning.  DD has been here after the dropping the kids off.  DH has left for the coffee shop.  I just put some sugar cookie dough in the fridge to chill.  So will be cutting out Halloween cookies in a bit.  Having cookie decorating with the grandkids on Sunday.  That's mostly my agenda for today.

Next Friday I get to fly to Seattle to have a nice visit with DD#2 and her husband.  We both look forward to that.

Otherwise, just spending time in my creative space.

Glad it's Friday for a bunch of you folks.  Time to relax and enjoy!!!

Hugs to you Birgit. My MIL is the same way - misses her son (my DH) TONS. She lives in Southern Cali and we live in South Texas. When DH travels for work, occasionally he gets to travel to west coast (most of it is the south, central, or east U.S.A.), he flies in one day early to spend time with her, then goes to wherever he is needed. Then if he can swing it, he'll stay an extra day to spend time with his mom before heading home.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about Barb's mother :(  Saying lots of prayers and sending strength to Barb and the family xoxo

I went for my flu / covid shots on Tuesday and came down with 102 fever and aches and the whole bit. The fever broke yesterday but I feel like I have lost 2 days of work, which "now that baseball season is over" I was looking forward to catching up on things, and am just as far behind if not more so. Today was laundry day and I did have enough energy to schlep there and back. DD is sleeping over her BFF's house tonight to do a Twilight movie marathon and make s'mores. Tomorrow we plan to go to the haunted house in the neighborhood. We've been going the past few years and it's great fun. It's hosted by the NYPD and some people dress up for it. This year DD and BFF are going as Rich and Carmy from The Bear. Other years they've been Mario & Luigi, Cosmo and Wanda (the Fairly Oddparents) and the first year DD & I went as Mabel and Wendy from Gravity Falls.

So anyway I'm hoping to finish this manuscript today so I can enjoy tomorrow!

Re: Scrap a Day, October 25
Good afternoon cherries! Had a super busy day yesterday, but got my upgrade completed.

This morning, I worked a bit before heading over to my brother's house to watch all 4 boys for an hour. My brother and SIL wanted to go vote today and they didn't want to drag all 4 kids with them. Draven and Jasper don't have school today  -- mandatory training for all staff district-wide. Next week is Intercession, so they'll be home for the entire week.

Took tons of pics, posted them on FB and then from their house went to the grocery store to get our stuff for the week. Home to put things away, get myself something to eat and then work the rest of the day.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Feels and looks like fall here too.  Cloudy grey skies and house was only 68 degrees when I got up.  Too bad I got up in lovely autumn in California today and will b in hot humid Florida tomorrow and the next 3 weeks!   Oh well I will b with DD/her hubby and my 3 grandkids.

nothing today but packing and fretting.  Sent a funny birthday greeting to my nephew in San Diego. He’s the baby of the cousin group and he turns 50 today.

hopefully I’ll have the usual boring flight that I always do after fretting so much (I’m a whiner) and greet you guys from the East coast tomorrow.  Have a favorable Friday

Long teacher workday.  I won't go into it, but our state legislature has lost their freakin' minds! :(

Got home and had some scrappy therapy, finishing the Progressive Challenge. :)
