Hello everyone.  Surgery went well.  I am home now resting. Dealing with pain but it's manageable with meds.  Thank goodness. My only concern is that I haven't been able to keep anything down all day and night. Throwing up is no fun when I'm supposed not sneeze,  blow my nose or breathe out of my nose. Thank you for all the love and support.  I truly appreciate you all! Thankful my first surgery is out of the way.  Next surgery will be next week.  That one should be an easy one.

Glad to hear surgery went well Flora. Been thinking of you. Sorry you haven't been able to keep anything down. Have you tried peppermint tea? Not being able to sneeze or blow your nose is harder than most people think. I had surgery to fix my deviated septum 10 years ago and that's what I wasn't allowed to do for 5 days. Hardest thing ever! Hang in there, my friend!

It is so hard to not blow my nose.  I just had to scare a sneeze away 🤧  because I didn't want to chance it.  I'm ready to blow my nose lol
Always grateful for this journey, Flora

Thank you all. The nausea is finally gone and I'm thankful.  The swelling in my face is much better as well. I am starting to feel much better and getting much needed rest and nutrition.  ❤️

Thinking of you, Flora! How are you feeling now? (((Hugs))) I remember how bad it was when my nose was bandaged up from MOHS surgery and I couldn't blow my nose or sneeze :( Not fun!  Praying for your recovery and for the next surgery!

I echo what others have suggested. A prescription for ondansetron (zofran) is very effective for nausea and vomiting. There is a sublingual dissolving tablet that doesn't even need to be swallowed. A quick call to the advice nurse should get a prescription and most chain pharmacies have home delivery, if needed. No need to suffer.

Additionally, this is the perfect time to use your meditation skills to relax and engulf yourself in healing thoughts.

Some days are not so bad but today I woke up feeling pain and congestion.  I also accidentally hit my nose in my sleep with my hand.  Wowser that was extremely painful.  Just the smallest touch is painful.  I'm trying to remind myself it's only been a week and in still recovering.  I am taking it really easy today.  Thank you for thinking of me ❤️

I did get meds for the nausea thankfully it only lasted a few days.  I'm resting and trying to just take things slowly.  My husband is home from his business trip.  He's taken the week off to help me. So that is a huge relief. Thank you for the reminder to meditate.  I get restless if I'm nit doing all the things.
