Layout I finished for the September Music Challenge.
Hey Cherries! Popping in quickly here. The storm has settled down for now... We still have rain but it's not too bad and very little wind here. No clue what it's like out in the straits and arms though.
I woke up at 8 and was chatting with a friend and then I got a bit of a chill so I slipped down into the blanket a little farther and the next thing I knew it was 10:30!!! LOL! So I'm getting a very late start here. I did make a layout last night after spending a couple of hours at the house. I got my granddaughterr's layouts all put away and I got another grandson's layouts finished! That's 3 of the 5 grands DONE! And I THINK my daughter's is done too! I still have to sort the general ones about the property, scenery, us and my book of me but things are going quickly. Plus since we moved the table I get to see all of our view! So that's really nice!
I did manage to make this layout last night. I'm amazed at how quickly it came together! For the Manufacturer with a Twist and the Hollywood's Finest Challenges...
Hope you're all having a wonderful Saturday!!!

I had a dental procedure done a couple of weeks ago and it ended up being a little more than I thought it would be. I had a root tip left over from my wisdom teeth removal (almost 25 years ago) that had somehow gotten left behind. It was picked up on a routine x-ray and the dentist said it needed to come out as it was pushing against my sinuses. He advised I go to an oral surgeon, but I have such terrible dental anxiety that I said I wanted him to do it in the office... so he did - and did an amazing job. My sinus cavity got a little irritated but it is finally better. Hopefully, there is one more dental procedure coming up and then I'll have fixed everything the previous dentist messed up.
I hadn't even gotten into my scrapbook room until late last night. It was a huge mess! I worked on getting the desk mostly cleaned off so I can work on some things today and tomorrow. I'm thinking that I am going to start putting together my December Daily kit from my stash this weekend.
I can't believe tomorrow is the first official day of fall - AND we are almost through September!
I soooo feel you. I hate the dentist and have terrified to go since my regular dentist moved almost 9 years ago. I finally decided it was well past time and made an appointment. Was literally stuck to my stomach that day but turns out I was terrified for nothing. They were so sweet and gentle, I've already been there times and will now go regularly. Hope your follow up visits go well too.

It's been a busy couple of days and I get tired from working but I'm STILL waking too up early on my off days ! I REALLY REALLY need to tidy a few things up; I want to scrap but haven't even posted what I've finished it's been an odd week - that's okay though!
Anyway I'm gonna relax today and catch up around the boards and messages. Stay blessed Cherries

Same story here pretty much. The light kind of looks different here but it's still super hot.

Hope you get those cooler temps. We need them here too.disneydarling wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 1:33 pmHello everyone - easy day today. Last night was a late night for the homecoming football game. We won! It was pretty exciting.
Went to the grocery store as soon as they opened at 7. Got all that done and put away. Cleaned up the kitchen and living room.
I reorganized my 6x6 paper stash. It was a mess and just all in one basket. I brought in a table and sorted everything out by color / collection / design. It was quiet the task, but I'm glad it's done. Now I need to do the same with my 12x12. It's just too time consuming digging through it all the time.
I see that Michael's has some seasonal 12x12 paper pads on sale for $4.99 and I am trying soooo hard to ignore it, but it keeps popping up on my FB page.
I have to clean the bathroom and do some laundry today. Homecoming pictures are at 5:30. Other than that, I think I will have some time to scrap today.
Today is supposed to be the last of the hot days. 90 today and 70 tomorrow...with some MUCH needed rain.
Have a great Saturday!

A lavender farm sounds lovely.Charleneanne wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 2:13 pmKitchen door is open this morning but no breeze and going to b low 90’s. Weather folks keep “adjusting” forecast. So lol anywhere from highs of 92-100 rest of this week through next weekend. Hoping cooler next weekend because I’m going to a Fall festival at a lavender farm about 1/2 hour drive from here. Love the fall and winter festivals at local growers in my area and in the foothills.
May actually get out and do some errands today - bank, gas up car and grocery. My car hasnt left the garage since I got home from my friends place in the foothills last Sunday. Housework and laundry are caught up too. lol
have a safe and silly Saturday

Happy Saturday Cherries. Miss being here lately. I am 100% scrapping tomorrow. Today was all about cleaning. Had a bad cold last week so everything was a mess. Feel so much better and was really in the mood to clean. Now I can scrap guilt free!!
