Hey Cherries. I had a restless sleep since early this morning. Maddie wants me to make the invitations for her Sweet 16 party and gave me an idea of what she wants, so all ideas of what I could do were swirling in my head and I couldn’t sleep. But I got some great ideas to jot down and work on. Today I’m taking my mom to an eye doctor appointment. I hope it is not the usual hour and a half or longer visit. The humidity has been really horrible here and today is no better. I don’t mind the upper 80 and even 90 degree temps but without this horrible humidity please. It’s so bad I didn’t even grill last night I cooked in the house. And I usually will always cook outside over having to clean up in the kitchen. It’s too horrible to take the girls out to play, even with their pool. I hope this extremely humid spell breaks soon. It’s a sauna out there.
I worked on a layout last night and hope to finish it later on when I get home. If not then tomorrow.
Have a great day Cherries.
I am on schedule to work at the stadium tonight and we have all kinds of heat and air quality alerts. Omg. I was sweating to death trying to sleep let alone being in an orange polyester shirt and pushing wheelchairs. Keep your fingers crossed I get put on 50/50 raffle duty because I tend to get the air-conditioned club spot LOL! I'm going to try to do some copy editing and maybe get some pics/supplies together for a new layout but that's about it before I go out to work. Need to move slow while I can LOL. DD is also working today - they have a soccer jersey giveaway, then Friday a bobblehead, and Saturday a bucket hat and she's working all of them.
Happy Scrapping!

We have the same unbearable weather as you Barb. I walked part way home from Bridge yesterday and then I jumped on a bus, but still I walked outside for about 45 minutes in the mid-afternoon and I was exhausted the rest of the day. This morning I watered my gardens really early and should probably water 2 or 3 more times today.
Zach came home from his travels last night on a red-eye and is sleeping in the room next to my scrapbook so I'm trying to scrap without music so I don't disturb him. I find the music helps me scrap. We'll see, maybe I'll try my air pods.
So much of the country has unpleasant weather. Hopefully it will break soon.

Ooh, have fun making the invites! That's exciting! I know what you mean about creative ideas keeping you up at night! "It's not the heat, it's the humidity!" Oof, I hear you. I hope this heatwave breaks soon. We were having rolling brownouts yesterday and an emergency Con Ed truck was on my block last night. Ugh.
Happy Scrapping!

I'm not even going to ask why they are giving away soccer jerseys at a baseball game. Working that sounds brutal, I hope you get some time in the AC.

Stay cool and scrap on! It is miserable outside.trainmom wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 10:41 amWe have the same unbearable weather as you Barb. We have a heat advisory here also with temps reaching 101! A record if it gets there. I, unfortunately, have to go to a drs. appt. this afternoon. I will be in my air conditioned car traveling to an air conditioned office and returning home to our air conditioned home. Feeling for all of our Texas cherries with no power and suffering in the heat and humidity. Brings back memories of unbearable summers living in Baltimore. Off to scrap a bit before I leave.

I don't blame you for jumping on the bus. Sometimes it's just too hot and humid to walk too far. The heat really takes the energy out of you! My bedroom (where my scrap area is) and DD's bedroom share a wall so I have had to not put my music on too. I'm glad setting eyelets isn't really a thing anymore because that was real noisy back in the day LOL!

I don't get it either but they do it for all the other sports - soccer, basketball, & football - they do Mets colors and the number is whatever year it is. DD doesn't care what the giveaway is because she likes money, haha! But the bobbleheads are the worst because they are big boxes and people get really crazy. Her favorite giveaway is the baseball cards or small things like that. I hope I get some a/c too. Fingers crossed!
Happy Scrapping!

Ugh up waay too early for this old woman. But mammo appointment at 1pm and I get anxious when I have to b somewhere by an exact time. My anxiety usually goes right to my guts. So I get up at the bloody crack of dawn and hope guts settle down enough by afternoon to get where I need to b. Hard to believe once upon a time I was a silly carefree blonde girl huh! Lol
Today is first day in 9 or 10 days not predicting temps over 100! Only 98-99 today. Woohoo dig out that sweater! Hahaha. Once mammo is done meeting friend for late lunch though so that should b fun. Other than that a quiet week. Well bday dinner out for oldest DS on Friday too but then nothing on calendar till the 22 .
Have a terrific Tuesday.

We are also under heat advisory today...the humidity is unbearable!! The workers should be here again today so I will be in my scrap room while they finish up. Looking to start some July challenges. Will also be prepping to finish scanning the last 4 photo boxes. This last hurricane made me nervous and I need to get this done once and for all. Thinking about our Texas cherries today, I can only imagine how hot they are. Stay safe there.
