Welcome to the Video Game Challenge for June 2024! This month we’re going to be inspired by a fresh take on an old classic, Mario Kart 8! This is one of Wyatt's favorite games & probably my favorite to play with him!
Here’s our color palette!
If you're loving this color palette, come check out what we've got going on this month on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog! I think you'll like it
Again, we will have two options for your project(s) with an opportunity for a BONUS entry if you use both on a single project.
Option 1: Use the above color palette for your project. You will need to include at least (3) of the featured colors, as close to the same shade as possible (the bottom color is meant to be white, my computer screen looks blue but my phone looked white). One additional neutral is permitted as well.
Option 2: We're going to focus more on the levels/tracks available in Mario Kart more so than the "racing" aspect. The tracks are SO much fun, there like little theme parks inside of the game! I'll always love a good race on Rainbow Road and my video-game-nut is obsessed with Moo Moo Meadows! So, in light of the "theme park" idea, I want to see photos of someone enjoying a ride! This can be at a theme park, a carnival, a local park with a carousel, whatever it is, as long as it's a ride!
For my layout, I combined both options of course with these photos of us on the "Dizzy Dragons" at a local amusement park! I was also inspired by the names of the racetracks in Mario Kart to create a clever title... Dizzy Vibes, anyone?

I love the color palette this month. I will have to finally get to this one.
Here's one from me. I used option 1, the color palette. I managed to find "girlie" dino paper in my stash that already matched all of the colors, and I used it to create this layout of two DGDs wearing matching dino PJs.

My layout uses both Option 1 and Option 2. The colors I used were white, blue, pink, and yellow. The ride was my daughter riding on the zip line down after she climbed the rock wall.
