Hello sweet cherries,

Happy NSD!! I hope everyone is having so much fun. Thank you for joining me this evening for my Mix It Up Challenge  :)
I am so excited to be hosting this challenge and have had so much fun! This challenge is all about mixed media projects. My favorite creative outlet. The messier the better!

I encourage you to grab your pastes, sprays, paints, stencils, embossing powders, etc. Anything that requires you to mix it up, shake it up or stir it up. With a paintbrush, your fingers, etc.

1. You must use the color pallette provided here.
2. The focus is texture. I used lunar paste and a Stencil for texture. Along with embossing pearl powder with a script stamp. I love different mediums that provide volume and dimension.




This challenge is opened to every general craft.
Cards, Layouts, Art Journaling, papercrafts, mix media journals, travelers notebooks anything that you can stamp on is a go. As long as it is centered around mixed media. No digital layouts.

Here is what I came up with, I hope I got the color right, could not tell if a brown or dark purple.  I went with purple.  I used water color  to paint the flower the fairy is sitting on, stamps, liquid pearls and stencil.   Thanks for the challenge it was a fun make.

I made my background using a random piece of burlap and some oxide sprays! sorta of an improvised texture-y stamp! I layered some stenciled hearts and a stamped quote (x2) for added dimension. this color palette was fun to pull together too!

The colors look so much brighter in the picture than in real life….I couldn’t quite match the palette but I hope this works!

I love this color pallette! It was perfect for these old photos I'm trying to work on of my youngest daughter's high school years.
I am not great at mixed media lol! It's a tad sloppy. I used gritty texture paste, which I tinted with some paint. I used a little mist,, ink,  and some metallic gold paint as well.
