Make a layout with a paper ruffle border
HERE IS MY EXAMPLE LAYOUT
 

* You must add a paper ruffle border to a new layout
* You must make your own border...no store bought
* LAYOUTS only
* photos are required
* at least a 6" long border
* many tutorials on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6dMRD-v26Y&t=757s Here is one I enjoyed watching.

*you can use a score board if you want the folds to look more uniform
*border does not have to be sewn. You could just glue down flaps or adhere a piece of ribbon on top, but neither is required. 

*DUE DATE May 17, 11:59PM EDT

This is a cool challenge.  Adding it to my list of "to do's".

This was a great use of some of my stash of Chatterbox papers!  First day of school layout was the perfect theme for my ruffle challenge!  I sewed down the middle and added a few tiny dabs of glue along it to keep it sturdy.  

Thank you for this cool idea to add to my layouts!

Great challenge Joannie.  I need to use this technique more often.  I really like how this came out.  Found some old (2010) Bo Bunny that worked perfectly for Drew's pics on his birthday.


I had to make three strips to fit across the page

and here is what they looked like before I added the pictures.

This was my first time making a paper ruffle but won't be my last. I used cardstock and I think it would be easier with thinner paper so I think I will give it a try next time. Loved the challenge.
