Is there any way to delete the notifications?  I've  looked and looked and can only find how to mark them as read.  Thanks.

Just go to settings and turn off notifications.

Get on the message board. There is "NOTIFICATIONS" right beside "Private messages" and your tiny avatar, and name (right side of screen). If you click on the Notifications link, it will take you to a screen that lists your notifications and has a SETTINGS link. Click on SETTINGS. You can edit what you want from there.

Usually once you click on them, they automatically delete themselves. You have to refresh your screen, though.
