I counted 69 entries as I went through the thread this morning, WOWZA you’re all FLAMAZING .  Remember if you use your embellishment on any NSD challenge to come back and edit your spot with a photo of your finished project for a chance to win bonus sprinkles!

Hey cherries!  I'd like to introduce you to Florida's version of the Early Bird 

While your NSD hostesses are busy flocking together to bring you a flamazing NSD celebration, let's flamingle and kick off the festivities with some really bad flamingo puns.........AND an EARLY BIRD CHALLENGE!  

Below is a list of six items for you to gather, the 7th is optional.  Your challenge is to create an EMBELLISHMENT CLUSTER using ALL items from the list.  I tried to keep it limited to pretty basic supplies we have on hand.  Here are your items:

• One Tag
  
• Twine or Ribbon
  
• One piece of ephemera
  
• One circle shape
  
• One strip of patterned paper, approximately 1" x 4" (I chose to cut fishtail flags on mine)
  
• One wood veneer embellishment
  
• One bonus item of your choice **OPTIONAL**

And here are the two embellishment clusters I created to give you a couple of ideas, but get creative and put them together however you like! Just REMEMBER the challenge is to use ALL items to create ONE CLUSTER embellishment. The sample on the left is using the required first six items.  For the sample on the right I decided to use an optional bonus item and added a leaf die cut:


The deadline to submit your Early Bird embellishment cluster is midnight, Thursday May 2nd, 2024. Please post your entry in this challenge thread. Sprinkles will be awarded to all who participate! 

And there is a PART TWO: The embellishment cluster alone CANNOT be combined with the 25 items challenge, but if you use it on ANY other NSD challenge come back to your original post in this thread and add a photo of your finished project for a chance to win BONUS sprinkles!!  Have fun, cherries, I can't wait to see what you create!

I've got a ribbon, a tag, a circle, ephemera, 1"x4" strip of pattern paper, a wood veneer typewriter and my bonus item is a label.

OK, I started pulling things out to put a tag together with the items listed and I found myself just wanting to add so much more.  I guess that defeats the purpose of the challenge?

Here is my tag!  I have a picture of my dog Baxter from the first week we were in Alaska.  He loved it here SOOOOO MUCH!!!  And I miss him terribly!  So I made this tag to eventually go on a layout with that picture of him.  I've had the twill ribbon for more than 15 years!  So It was fun to use more of it.  I still have quite a bit leftover!  LOL!

I used some 49 and Market 6x6 paper for the tag, patterned paper (I cut banner ends), circle and the chipboard phrase (my ephemera).  The wood veneer is from Creative Embellishments.  And my optional item is the ink that I used to distress things.

Yes  . Only the items listed, it’s meant to be an embellishment for a larger project if that helps you. Can’t wait to see what you make!
