Today marks 6 years without our mom, Kristin. It has gone by so fast, and yet so slow too.

Cancer took her away from us too soon, but it can’t take away this beautiful legacy she left us. A Cherry On Top is not just a craft store to us, it's a piece of our mom. 

So in her honor we want to plant some trees today with One Tree Planted. This non-profit organization plants one tree for every dollar donated. You can even choose the area you wish to plant your tree. This is something our mom would have loved to be a part of, being a gardener herself and loving to give back. We would love for you to join us by planting a tree or two, whether to remember Kristin or your own loved ones. https://onetreeplanted.org/

It is so hard to believe it has been 6 years. Many ((hugs)) and my love to all of you. Your mom would be SO PROUD of how you have not only carried on her legacy but how you have made it thrive and grow. It is truly a special place, started by a special lady, and continues to live up to her vision each and every day.

I was not here in those days but your Mom left behind a wonderful legacy and gift that you are so beautifully carrying on.  I can not overstate what this community did for me and my well being during the very scary days of the pandemic. It was such a blessing to stumble upon this, not an accident I'm sure.  I will head over and plant trees in your Mom's memory out of my love for ACOT and all that you continue to do or all of us.

I am planning on planting a few trees in my yard to revamp the landscaping.  I will make tribute to your mom, and other women who have left this world too soon.  A beautiful pink saucer magnolia.  It blooms and opens its petals wide and large in very early spring, “up” before the other flowers awaken.  It’s bloom time is unfortunately short, and it’s lovely petals fall. In its place, thick green leaves and comforting shade. Now when I will look at it, it will have a purpose.  You have made your mother proud, she is always with you, Rachel.

I wish I'd been able to meet your mother, but I feel like I can honestly say that she look down at you guys with pride and love. ACOT has given me so MUCH joy- wether I'm browsing and buying, or looking through the gallery, or making some amazing friendships - THIS ONE PLACE has become a home of sorts for me! ESPECIALLY when I've been struggling through some personal issues- I've found outstanding, caring folks here, and it's been a blessing to be here! Family is VERY important to me, and I can tell that you guys hold that same value! Hugs to you ALL! I'm a Cherry for life!
