We used to always have star, now we have a Nick lol. I'm hoping to find a new tree topper soon but now I think the family would be disappointed without a Nick on top lol. And I have a cross-stitched angel topper that I've been working on for years (decades!?) and it never seems to get any closer to being done!
Happy Scrapping!

Yes I have a crocheted angel. My mother made it years ago. After she made it, we placed it over a small vase and spray starched it stiff. That starch has let the angel keep its shape and place on my tree for more than 30 years now!

I'm glad to hear we're not the only ones with a Marvel topper

You're not a lunatic! I mentioned the three I have for the MAIN tree. There is also a bird tree with a cardinal topper, a Star Trek tree with the USS Enterprise, a Nintendo tree with the game star, the Rudolph tree with Bumble, and my daughters flower tree with a giant tiger print lily on the top!
Star Trek!? OMG! Did I know this? Where did you find that topper????????
Happy Scrapping!

I want to make a crochet topper and the starch idea is a good tip! I never would have thought of that!

I have several! Star, angel, a twinkle light… I used to put up lots of theme trees along with the traditional so lots of different ones. I also have lots of pics that are sometimes placed at the top. Or bows….

Ours is an angel...it used to grace my dear, departed, MIL's tree, so we inherited it. I had to give her some TLC (fix her wings and lyre). It shares her spirit with me, every single year!

Ours is an angel. She is very old and has seen better days. She used to be wired and lit up so she glowed but her lights went out years ago. Now when I put her on the top of the tree I have to stuff a few lights up her dress.
Oh Laura, what a gorgeous angel!!Art_Teacher wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 8:39 pmOurs is an angel...it used to grace my dear, departed, MIL's tree, so we inherited it. I had to give her some TLC (fix her wings and lyre). It shares her spirit with me, every single year!
Our first Christmas as a married couple, I bought a spikey red glass tree topper while we were stationed in Germany. It has a glob on it, which I figured out was an angel. I thought when this gets broken we’ll get something really nice. We’ve had it 40 years now.

Over the years, I have had angel toppers, santa toppers, stars, glass finial topper, big bows, and this year a small Santa at the top of a tree filled with my Santa and Mrs. Claus ornament collection. Something different this year.

So apparently, the prepping and planning for Christmas along with all the other life stuff has me not thinking clearly! (Also, I probably have too much stuff! LOL!) I have FOUR toppers! In addition to the gingerbread man, Santa, and the starburst, I have a miniature retro candolier -- which is the one currently on the tree! I thought for sure the other one was up there! Anyway, here is this year's topper:

The Star Trek is Mike's tree! The Enterprise tree topper came from Hallmark and was pretty pricy. But, that was a combo Father's Day/Birthday present for him! My camera was not cooperating yesterday so I couldn't get a clear close up. But, if you squint, you can see Picard, Riker, several different ships, Kirk in his captain's chair!scrappinmom99 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 6:53 pmLaura wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 12:35 pm
