Here is my entry for the NSD Sentciled Background Challenge. I used a large stencil by Dylusions. This is in my large Dylusions journal.

This was a fun challenge.  It's been a while since I used a stencil on a layout.  Thanks for the challenge.  :)

A Cherry on Top

Re: Stenciled Background Challenge
I used a TCW 12x12 stencil, ink blending Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in Speckled Egg and Lost Shadow. Then on top I used a smaller KaiserCraft criss cross lines stencil with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Black Soot. I do have to admit I really cringed when I added the criss cross line stencil to the top of the TCW stencil. But I do like how it came out.

Thanks for the great challenge!

Used double stencil technique with big snowflake stencil and fizzy dots stencil.  But used green for Spring instead of the winter colors. Stencils, ink and die cut greeting from Gina K Designs.

Re: Stenciled Background Challenge
The main stencil is Prima Marketing Stone Walkway, using Liquitex light modeling paste, on which was sprinkled various embossing powder colors before the paste dried. After the paste dried this was followed by heat to melt the powders. The second stencil was Kaiser Craft Fern using the same technique.  It was interesting to use stencils/paste on a scrapbook page. First time!

Re: Stenciled Background Challenge
Thanks so much for the awesome challenge, Jessica! I loved it! Thanks also to The Crafter's Workshop for sponsoring this fun challenge. I LOVE their stencils (although I didn't use any of theirs that I own for this challenge; I used the Waves stencil from the Simple Vintage Seas collection because, out of all the stencils I own, it matches my beach photos the best.) Here's my entry:

Thanks again for the fun challenge!

Because of this challenge, I ordered a bunch of new stencils and pastes! However, for this lo I used some old stuff - Golden Glass Bead Gel, Folk Art Glitterific Clear Hologram Paint and a Crafter's Workshop stencil to mimic the flying snow in the photo

All of your older media sound so interesting! I'd never heard of Golden Glass Bead Gel or Clear Hologram paint before -- added to wish list; thanks for the tip! I'm curious about what new stencils and pastes you just ordered, too!

I love these events so much because I always learn so many interesting new things and find out about new-to-me products to try. Thank you so much for sharing your work, mrsmiller (and everyone else, too -- I have enjoyed seeing all the entries for this challenge).
