I think you forgot to add the requirement of "if you usually do 12x12 do this one as a 3x3 but still squeeze in three photos, a teradactyl, and a title in ancient greek".  HA HA   (we love you!)

Shhhh, don't give her ideas!!  :greenwinkb: :greeninlove: :greenwinkb: :greeninlove:

Re: Art_Teacher's Pack Your Bag Recipe Challenge
These were my choices. I think I can do this!
1.  How many photos will you usually put on each layout? use 3 photos
2.  What is your paper usage in layouts like? create a mixed media background
3.  When you start a layout, what do you do first?  Choose embellishments first, then photos, papers
4.  Choose at least 2 and no more than 4 items from below that MUST go into your scrapbooking bag.  handwrite your title/journaling; use alphas; use bling
5.  Choose at least one and no more than 3 tools you absolutely need for your scrapbooking bag.  use scissors to fussy cut or use deco scissors; use punches
6.  What are your favorite colors to use in your scrapping (must only choose 1)?  use brights (neon or other bright colors)
7. What is your absolute favorite thing not on the lists above to use in scrapping?  Ink

Thank you! I did and I have admit that I felt a little guilty putting them on my layout because although I could fussy cut...one thing I couldn't use was patterned paper and that's where I got them. It was one of the PP from Horizons by Paige Evans.

Re: Art_Teacher's Pack Your Bag Recipe Challenge
Holy cannoli, that was a hard challenge! I almost walked away after three hours and 2 failed attempts to come up with an idea I could work with. The hardest part for me was finding 4 photos that would work with jewel toned papers.

Here is the list of my requirements for the challenge:

1. 4 photos
2. Use only card stock
3. choose papers first, then photos & embellishments
4. Use stickers, handwritten journaling, alphas
5. use a decorative edge, stamps, and punches
6. Use jewel toned papers
7. Ink pad for edge coloring

ImageThanks for really pushing me out of my comfort zone. (And for making me realize I need to go shopping for more jewel toned papers! 😂)

Re: Art_Teacher's Pack Your Bag Recipe Challenge
I actually did it!!!
Using cardstock only just about killed me!!!  I used my 4 photos
I picked my cardstock.  I knew what pictures I wanted to print, though!!!\
I needed to use warm colours- good thing my grandson's favrourite colour is yellow.
I needed handwritten journaling(on a tag between the photos), alpha( I stamped those),and bling
I need to use scissor, so I got out my decorative edge scissors for the one side,
Needed to use stamps- the word crazy and the stars
And emboss something- I used an star embossing folder on the 8
Good thing my bonus item was my distress inks, which I created a wonderful background.
Love a good challenge.  Thanks!

Re: Art_Teacher's Pack Your Bag Recipe Challenge
usually put 3 photos on each layout - use 5+ photos (12)
patterned & cardstock used evenly - create mixed media background ()Strip along bottom  done with a combination of swiping ink pads & chalk on embossed paper, , ribbon popped up on top of strip)
start with pictures then match paper - create background first
Alphas & Stickers - hand write title or journaling (hand written journaling on tags)
Scissors, paper cutter, stencils - decorative scissors, punches, die cuts (Coloring book butterfly cut out with decorative scissors, no die cuts because I don't own any, 4 punched out butterflies)
pastels - blue, green, violet (main colors of layout)
coloring book page (large butterfly

Re: Art_Teacher's Pack Your Bag Recipe Challenge
This was tough!

1. used one photo...shhh...don't tell anyone
2. used only cardstock....ack!  I about had a heart attack here.
3. I decided to go with black background, not something I really ever do, then picked the photo, then selected additional cardstock colors to add the warm colors, pink, yellow, red, tan
4. used a button and brad and bling words
5. used punches....they were hard but the mickey head one was fun
6. used red, tan, yellow
7. my bonus was getting to use Echo Park stickers and chipboard!  YES!
