Re: An NSD nightmare...
I still have a bunch of teeny brads and eyelets - I could use those.  Plus I have 2 sized staples - both regular and mini and the regulars ones are in several colors.  I could dig out my sewing machine too, but I have trouble sewing a straight line and I'd probably become apoplectic at the thought of sewing on a page. I could hand stich with embroidery floss or twine. And I could weave paper together, but then I'd still have to use one of the above to fasten them to the page.

Or I could try my hand at digital scrapping!!!  No adhesive needed there!

But seriously, I would probably go old school and use brads and eyelets. ;)

Hmmm, well I guess I would resort to using paint to adhere my papers together, and fold over some washi/clear tape to make a sticky back for little embellishments. I’m very concious of what touches my photographs so I’d staple them instead of using paint. Or maybe perhaps use stickers in the corners or around the edges to hold them down! Since I’m making a mess already I’d have tons of things to stick on wet paint- like glitter and buttons and flowers and pom poms. Grab my son and make him stick his toes in it too!

stickers on the corners is interesting, and staples work. BTW - I had to fix the stapler here this week, it seems that the younger generation doesn't know how to use staplers correctly, although I don't understand why he was using it at all since he does remote school and submits everything online.

I know that pain!  Somehow, my students managed to break my stapler this year...and I have had it in my classroom for over 10 years! lol

Anything metal or paper we can use to stick stuff down to our layouts!  Boy oh boy this would be a nightmare for us!  LOL!  I love the stories you came up with traveler!

That’s quite the nightmare😳. The only think I can think of is my paper clips. I have a lot of cute mini ones that I have never used 😬. Or my tiny attacher.

OMG what a nightmare! And this is after my DH ordered FOUR boxes of Zots for me LOL! In this case I would use:

stitching
washi tape
eyelets
brads
paperclips
staples
um...what else???

I'm going to change the needle on my sewing machine and stitch everything down.
I have a 2year old grandbaby running around, she is always sticky and probably useful as a glue stick.
I have some gigantic brads that I have not yet found a use for, but in a pinch...  anything goes.

I'd say brads, but I tossed all of them a couple of years ago! Lol ;) Probably my tiny attacher(mini stapler), those cute shaped paperclips I have but never use, or stitching. Not sure if photo corners would be considered adhesive. If you could use washi I'd be set for years!!

I think photo corners would be fine, kind of an old fashioned look

I think the sewing machine and brads are great idea, the grandbaby probably has better uses.

Wow, Louise, this has been a hilarious read. Sure makes me think about the alternates.
I am very comfortable with my sewing machine and have tons of brads, eyelets, and washi. A working stapler, too.
