THANK YOU to all of the cherries who played along with this challenge! I loved seeing each and every one of your entries!! I used the Wheel of Names to select a random winner...….and that winner is...……...karen c.!!! Congratulations, Karen!!
Hi cherries! This is my final challenge for you for our NSD Celebration 2020!
Remember how earlier in the week I asked you all to share where you are in the “You Are Here” message board thread? Your challenge is to create a NEW layout using ONLY pictures taken in, or in close proximity to, your current location where you’re “sheltering in place.” I originally was going to say within the city limits, but I grew up in the country & I know many of you posted your “HERE” is the middle of nowhere! I can relate to that! LOL So instead we’ll say at or nearby your home Also, you do not have to use recent pictures for this challenge. Do you have pictures from the local park last summer…or 10 years ago? As long as they were taken at or near your home they’ll work for this challenge.
AND there’s a TWIST!! You must use something travel themed on your layout. Patterned papers or embellishments from any travel themed line, a geotag, car or other transportation embellishment, etc. Here is my sample using Echo Park’s Go See Explore papers & stickers and a wood veneer geotag:
The PRIZE for this challenge is the Plant Lady Collection Pack sponsored by Echo Park!
RULES:Open to NEW layouts only, one entry per person
NO combining with any other NSD or message board challenge except for the NSD add-ons (25 items list, Tool Time Tic Tac Toe)
I’ve created a gallery folder for you to submit your entry, but feel free to link back here also.
Your layout must include photos taken at or nearby your current location, from any timeframe AND you must use anything travel themed on your layout
This challenge will close Sunday, May 10th at 11:59 pm
Most importantly……HAVE FUN!!

This is a wonderful challenge, Stacy! Perfect example too!
Covid 19 in the beginning. When I could not find toilet paper anywhere and began to panic a bit.
This one should be easy for me...I work at the airport and I have have taken tons of selfies with my various masks! LOL

hmmm, I already did a shelter layout last month, not sure anything has changed. Maybe within the week. I love your layout.

The challenge doesn't require you to make a shelter themed layout. Please see the description...pictures can be taken any timeframe, as long as they were taken at or near your home. The only other requirement is using travel themed papers or embellishments. Hope you can play along!
Stacy
Thanks for the clarification. I'll have to think on this one.StacyLeeD wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 8:38 am

Here is my layout for this. We work at the Airport in Houston, and while I have been working through the pandemic, they were laid off. My daughter and son went back to work on Friday...so these are VERY new photos that I would have never scrapped if not for this challenge!! Thank you!!

Here's mine, these photos were all taken within walking distance of my house (I walked to that park this morning) and I used Quick Quotes Far and Away collection for the patterned papers and that saying, which is definitely a travel collection. Thanks for the inspiration, I am pleased that I found that saying for this page and would never have looked for it if I wasn't challenged to use a travel collection for a non-travel page.

This is my submission. The pictures were taken in our backyard which has recently become our haven, allowing the kids to get some energy out. I used geotags and a journaling card from a Michaels paper-pad travel collection is had in my stash. I also added a little boat. The adventure word and golden stars are from an old pack of travel themed thickers.
Here is mine, my son fishing at the lake near our house. For the twist I used a journaling card with a truck on it.

Recent photo of my boys and I trying to do "homeschool" together in my tiny studio/office.

I used photos from our house at our pool last summer and my travel related items are the globe and compass sticker at bottom from Go See Explore echo park paper pack.
Retired, scrapping and happy!

My granddaughters spent some time with me while their Dad had to be in quarantine. So one morning I pulled out some pictures for my oldest granddaughter to make a scrapbook page. They are pics of her and her friends trip to St. Louis. She was so sad about school being cancelled & missing all her friends. I thought this might help her and it did. She couldn't believe I was just leaving her alone in my craft room and letting her create. Only one person can fit in there, rofl.
Thank you for this challenge. I would have never thought to scrapbook this picture in this way. I love it
