and I am already loving it! Since I have been at work all day, I haven't been able to participate in the scrapping part of the NSD challenges...only the games so far. They are awesome! However, I have also taken time to browse through the forum and some of the threads...and I have familiarized myself with the site a little. I am in AWE that Kristin's children took over for her. I truly find that to be one of the greatest acts of love.
so, a little about myself....
I am a Mommyof5kidz...(4 living and 1 angel)
My oldest passed away in January 2016 in a hit and run accident. He was driving hi motorcycle to work and the person that hit him left him laying there and never stopped. After my divorce in 2014, then loosing my child in 2016... I had to step back and re-evaluate life and figure out exactly how to move forward, and help my kids move forward. I took a hiatus for several years from all things crafty after I buried my son on what should have been his 19th birthday. I focused on getting myself and my kids well, and figuring out our new "normal" life. Actually...it took a very long time just figuring out how to LIVE again.
Now, I am whole again, my kids are whole again, or the best we can be anyway, and I have met a wonderful man who has helped add to my happiness...NOT detract from it. Ironically, he also has 5 kids...and together we are the Brady Bunch on steroids!
I have been scrapping for 24 years, since I was pregnant with my first baby. I have been on many design teams both kit clubs and Manufacturers, and I loved every minute of it. After finding my happiness again, finding my new "normal" again, and finding my way in life... the only thing that was missing was my scrapbooking...and my son would not have wanted that. It was one of the things he always told me that he loved most about me. I needed to add in the rest of the sprinkles that made me who I was before God threw a ton of boulders at me...and to help find the "WHO I AM" today. SO, here I am...jumping back in with both feet!

I'm so sorry to hear about your son. How awful that they didn't even stop. I can relate. My two youngest were in a bad motorcycle accident a few years ago. They survived and are doing well. My heart aches for you, I'm so glad you were able to take care of yourself and your kids and become whole again.

(((Hugs))) - you sure have been dealt a burden but God knew you'd be able to keep going!!! And welcome!!! I am so glad you were not scared off by joining during a crop. lol!!! I "shopped" for about 2 years, then decided to get my feet wet on the MB - that was NSD weekend in 2008!! And I am still here!!! The best and truest friends I have made in my life have all been scrappy friends!!! Have fun!!!
